Love this book!
WOW! Redberg's book is jam-packed with nutritional science! I learned so much, and I consider myself pretty versed on nutrition. When I was able to go weeks without sugar and then would slip, I started to notice what it did to my body instantly had cold-like symptoms, every muscle ache, and other things. Breaking that sugar habit can be rough, but with the help of this book, I'm confident you'll be able to take the steps necessary!!

Wow!

This is JUST what I needed!
As I seemingly accelerate through my forties into my fifties, I am finding myself being increasingly aware of my health. I really enjoyed listening to this book because it covered SO much material! I learned so much about sugar, gut and mental health, and of course, the 21 days to detox. I'm excited to make the necessary changes in my life to reach my health goals. I highly recommend this if you're looking to reset and finally commit to getting healthy!

Great Book!!
I found this book so helpful! It covers a few topics.
A few things I Learned thru this book!!
People think they cannot live without sugar, but it is not essential. Sugar should only be eaten in moderation.
Here's how sugar affects you. It feeds gut bacteria. Gut microbiome. If you do not have enough of these bacteria, your metabolism slows down. You have trouble digesting food. You have a weaker immune system. Here are some symptoms of an unhealthy gut microbiome.
The good news is that there are ways to fix this problem. You can take steps to improve your gut health.
One of the best ways to do this is to reduce your sugar intake.
Sugar is bad for many reasons. Simple carbohydrates digest fast. They do not let your body burn off excess calories before they enter your bloodstream. They spike your blood sugar too. The result is high insulin levels. However, elevated levels of insulin are bad for you since they make your body store fat.
These toxins cause inflammation in your body. This is bad for your joints, heart, and other organs.
When you eat too much sugar, you also increase your risk for obesity. This is because your body uses up its energy trying to digest it. Your body does not have enough energy to burn off the extra calories. This leads to weight gain.
How can you improve your gut health? Eliminate all refined sugars from your diet. Enjoy fruit! Eat more fiber to keep your digestive tract healthy.
If you still want to enjoy sweets, try using stevia instead of sugar. Stevia is a natural sweetener.
You can also add probiotics to your diet. Probiotics are live bacteria that keep your gut healthy. I highly recommend this book.

Informative and practical tips for better eating
This book is not just about sugar. I was really impressed with the knowledge I walked away with about the impact of sugar and other foods on your body. Affecting everything from your weight, to your mood and how you can better use foods to, do what they should be doing which is to provide the right fuel for your body for you to best your best life. It’s a long listen, but definitely a defence I’ll be coming back to as worth it for the valuable information received,

The author did an amazing job in putting this audiobook together. As we age, our bodies are not the same. The author explains really well the lifestyle and health improvements we must make as we get older by providing excellent tips on diet and gut health, and various other important factors we must consider and adapt.

Best surprise for people over 40
Trying so hard to lose weight but couldn't get better results?and you are over 40 years of age? No problem you got the sweet surprise by getting this book.
I'm 43 old and tried many ways to lose weight but couldn't get better results than my friend recommended this book to me. I have been following all the instructions mentioned in book regarding exercise, food nutrition and meditation and i got INCREDIBLE results. I lose 173 pounds and I'm really happy for that.
The voice of narrator was clear and encouraging. It gave me motivation to adapt new and healthy lifestyle.

Encouraging!
Wow, this audiobook! I love the author for sharing her personal experience and coming up with such a great topic. The book has all the necessary tips to reprogram our diet as we age and helps us understand our body metabolism. i appreciate the narrator's soft and encouraging voice that kept me stick to the book the entire time. The author has done a great job in highlighting the need of balanced nutrition and the exercises in the book are a hit. Love it!

What a surprise even for me!
I knew there was some sugars out there to stay away from but I thought all of them end with “ose” I had no idea there is 56 different sugar names… WoW!
I am so glad that Triya has taken the time to give us so very much information that can help each one of us succeed where we couldn’t before. I feel this is the most complete book out there, and know that I have to listen to some sections again to see if I got everything from them. It is definitely a keeper!
I love the fact that she went into all the things I knew about but with a deeper knowledge helping me to see even those in a better light than before, but she even covered so much I didn’t know, and I enjoyed the degree that she went into each one. I think I have so much knowledge now if nothing else at the tips of my fingers or the listening ear that can help me do what I need to do to care for myself better.
I am looking forward to doing the 21 day sugar detox and feel like I can actually accomplish it and that is big for me because I know my greatest weakness is sugar, I admit I stay away from the worse ones but I am sure I have the other ones way too much.
The chapters have helped me to see why my body seems to desire some of the good foods a lot & I am excited to get the list of superfoods for my gut microbiome.
Honestly the best thing I can say to others reading the reviews is: “Get the book and see for yourself how great it is” I could say everything that I got out of it but I just don’t feel it even does the book justice.

Very Informative!
This book has the best guide to lose weight when you are over 40. The author made such a good book that contains how to maintain your weight and get healthy. This got specific information to help you get over your carb craving and such. This book is a need if you are ready to be healthier than ever because this could surely be the perfect guide for you.
