Summary

The war they'd all feared

The star cluster's super-powers tried to make peace last. Truly, they did. But everyone knew war between Ascendant Horizon and the Coalition of Giants was inevitable.

Saddled with an alliance that seems to struggle with the basics of space warfare, Captain Thatcher must fall back on his tactical prowess—along with the steadfastness of the crews under his command—just to keep his people alive.

But an enemy lurks around every corner, and there is dissension even in Thatcher's fleet. What's more, he knows there are only two ways this war can end.

In victory, or in total defeat.

Spacers, Part 4 contains Book 7: Fleet Action through to the end of Book 8: Dawn War.

Come On Audible! do we have to work it out ourselves?

Where's The Rest Of It!?

Yep not your usual review I will admit. But when you realise that Audible only has the first 8 EIGHT books you'll see my plight... LOL
I have just read the 8 they do have in succession.

AAAAAGGGH....

A great listen

Simply an epic space series without focusing too much on the battles. Some of the twists and turns keep you going while others feel a little repetitive (not in a bad way just realistically with how characters react) I will be looking forward to the rest when it comes out and I recommend to anyone who likes space series

Basically a session of Stellaris

You got UNC as the camper. Ascendant Horizon the Asian twins sharing one computer. Simon the try hard. Tad and Rose as the pair with the obvious crush on each other but still try to hide it. I didn't enjoy the middle school level romance on the earlier books but the battles and associating it to my favorite game makes it genuinely enjoyable for me.

Sci-fi opera.

The story sucked me in and the narration by Mark Boyett couldn’t be more perfect. I love being able to recommend Scott to friends or whenever I can in conversation. Looking forward to more. The way Scott writes is right up my sci-fi alley.

1st listen to Scott Bartlett

I really enjoyed Scott's writing style! His characters are relatable and very real. The books go from one scene to another, sometimes very quickly, but it's easy to follow, put the pieces together and follow along. I enjoyed how he paced and developed the story.

I've since gone out and purchased the 1st six books. I'm looking forward to starting in on those this weekend.

By the way, Mark Boyett is a fantastic narrator/performer and handles the various characters nicely!

it's the dark night before the dawn

This is a really good military space opera! Can you hear me shouting Noooooo in Canada Scott Bartlett?! I was not expecting what happened to our hero here. Hope I don't have to wait too long for the next.
Mark Boyett makes it all real!
