About this listen

What’s worse than getting snowed in with a sexy stranger? Having it be the one person you can’t stand—and there’s only one bed.

I don’t hate Preston Roberts, but I also don’t see what all of the craze is about with the women in Whiskey Creek practically drooling over him. Is he good-looking? Sure. Does he treat others with kindness? I guess so. But none of that matters because he is exactly the kind of guy I need to avoid.

I quickly realize that it’s hard not to get to know him when we’re stuck together, riding out the storm. The more we hang out, the more I realize he’s not as bad as I thought. And sure, he is kinda hot. Okay, really hot....

As I start to lower my walls, I find that he’s raising his. I try to remind myself that it doesn’t matter because I’m not looking for a relationship. As much as I want to convince myself he’s not the right guy for me, I can’t stop thinking about all of the reasons he just might be. I also can’t ignore how that seems to scare him more than it does me. We may be forced to survive the storm together, but will we walk away with our hearts still intact?

Loved it!

Something to Think About is a cute, spicy, lighthearted read I thoroughly enjoyed! The forced proximity/one bed trope is one I always enjoy and Samantha Baca knocked it out of the park. Ramona and Preston’s chemistry was explosive and absolutely loved their story!

Jamie Carnucci was an amazing narrator and I look forward to listening to more of her work.

hate to love

Book 2 in this series by Samantha Baca and another fantastic story.
I listened to the Audiobook and yet again Jaime Carnucci does an excellent job at acting out this book with just the sound and manipulation of her voice...I really liked listening to her narration.
This is Ramona's story..Ramona is Maggie's best friend...(Maggie's book is book 1).
New guy in town Preston is her unexpected match...Unexpected because Ramona doesn't like Preston.
He seems to just annoy her and she can't help to always give him a hard time.
Ramona has recently broken up from her high school sweetheart they had been together a long time, but the relationship wasn't a good one...Ramona was always made to feel unwanted and undesirable.
Preston also has issues because of a past relationship that did not end well and has left him scarred and not believing in love or commitment.
The one thing that Preston and Ramona do have is lots and lots of chemistry, their attraction is so obvious...This is tested to the limits when they are surprisingly stuck together in a snow storm.
Its being stranded together that gives them the opportunity to get to know one another, and discover they actually get along and like eachother....and its the perfect setting to explore one another too...They are so HOT together and can't seem to keep their hands off eachother.
But the relationship ghosts from Preston's past haunts him and he will not allow himself to let himself be happy and find love...which ultimately could make him throw away the best thing that had walked into his life for a long time.
This book felt sexier than the first book and I am just loving these couples of Whiskey Mountain.
Loved the combination of funny and sweet sexy and serious...Because even though this book like the previous book is a pleasantly satisfying amusing steamy story...They also tackle some really hard hitting issues and Samantha Baca writes about them with a sensitive and respectful tone, and so there is a few emotional moments along with the light funny moments.
I LOVED listening to this story.
BRILLIANT.
5 Stars.
