Summary
Fresh off a divorce from a Hollywood hotshot, Madison Atwood needs an escape. With the paparazzi fresh on her heels and her love life splashed on every tabloid, she runs away to a swanky retreat in Northern California. Avalon Springs is the mountainside haven she needs to find herself again.
Luke Dawson lives off the grid, preferring solitude to society. When he finds a beautiful woman soaking in the hot springs on his property, he can't stop himself from watching her. She captures his attention, but she's just a city girl - a beautiful distraction disturbing the peace he's settled here to find.
When Madison discovers Luke's secluded cabin, he can't turn her away again. They make no promises. Madison needs to feel wanted again, and Luke misses the touch of a woman. But when Mother Nature has other plans, they're forced to spend more than a night of passion together. Can Luke say goodbye to the only woman who's made him feel anything in years, and can Madison leave behind the man who brought her back to life?

Very predictable.
finished it but got very bored on how predictable it was.
struggled with the annoying narrative of male and female doing each other's voices.

Promising premise but no story
Dreadful! Just dreadful.. ugh. Narrators are great but from the off storyline is very thin, if practically non existent. Girl is an actor, in the public eye, has been scorned by her ex so jets off to yoga retreat to regroup. Then throws herself at some random hot dude, log cutting in the forest near by retreat. Basically other than sex nothing else happens after that. Promising premise but story has no depth and doesn't deliver for me.

love this book!!
the only thing i don't like about this book is when the female narrator does a 'manly' voice for Like and when the male does one for Maddie instead of getting the gender appreciate narrator to say those lines in certain chapters, but love everything else about it!!

Ugh!
Could not get past the first 3 chapters. Never heard "pussy" and "cock" used so many times in such a short span of pages. Judging from other reviews, this continues on throughout the remainder of the book. This is not literature, this is smut. I love a good romance novel as much as anyone, but this ain't it!

He Has Met His Match
I couldn't wait to get off work to read this highly anticipated book so I had to get the audible book to get a jump on it. I loved how the story took off from the first sentence. Maddison was enthralled with Luke from the first time she saw him. Luke wasn't to far behind her. The journey these two took to be together was very well written. The narrator was fantastic. Definately an audiobook I will listen to again.....okay maybe 10 more times!!

No....sorry
I tried. I did listen to the whole story. I didn’t care for it. To much forced at you so fast. Barely know the characters before they are naked and having sex. I still don’t really know them. Trying too hard to be sexy and it was just kind of perverse.

DNF - I can't begin to express my disappointment
The promo I saw on FB for this book said it was "based on this guy" (or something similar). "This guy" was Brock O'Hurn in an open red plaid flannel, swinging an axe. I am a huge BO fan and jumped at the chance to spend 4+ hours with him in a steamy romance novel. Other than the physical description of Luke Dawson, there is nothing that remotely resembles BO--in my mind. There's plenty of sex, if that's what you want, but the story and the narration are both flat. Sorry. I'm glad it was part of the Romance Package--otherwise, I'd be requesting a refund. I really, really wanted to like it.

This. Is. The worst.
I gave it chance despite all the terrible reviews. They were right.

I would not recommend this book to anyone. Didn’t even get to the end of the first chapter. Waste of time that I can never get back.

Insta-Love
2.5 Stars
Madison Atwood is recently divorced from her childhood sweetheart/movie star ex-husband, who cheated on her. Looking to get some perspective and spend some time with herself, she travels to northern California to the Avalon Spa.
A couple of mishaps put her in the path of veteran recluse, Luke Dawson. Luke has been on the mountain since his last tour of duty. He went to stay in the mountains on the acres left to him by family.
Once Madison and Luke meet, they realized their lives are very different, but will do anything to compromise in order to be together.
This was a quick insta-love story. There were several things that bothered me. Firstly Madison's habit of not only going to places she didn't know in the mountains by herself, but just walking into someone's cabin/home without know who it belonged to. Maybe I was raised to be more cautious, but this woman drove me nuts. Even walking into the woods naked in order to pee. What is wrong with her?
Anyway... I had high hopes for this series, but this book really wasn't for me. I will try to read/listen to a few others, hoping the stories improve. I didn't love the narrators. Could have been the book itself, but something about them bugged me.

Disappointed...
After reading previous book reviews I looked forward to listening to this book, but the storyline is a bit ridiculous at times and you can tell the two narrators didn't prepare very well because they're interpretations of the characters seemed so different. One minute the female character is a impulsive ditz and the next she's strong and independent. Not my cup of tea and probably won't waste my time on anymore books in this series.

Overdone.
The storyline or lack there of left much to be desired. A bit overdramatic and overdone.
