Summary
The world owes you nothing.
It took losing the woman I loved, and facing the paralyzing task of moving on without her, for me to truly understand that.
Consumed by regret and razor-sharp memories, I’d resigned myself to a life of loneliness, until a survivor from the same plane crash that took my fiancée stormed into my life.
Remi Grey was chaos and sunshine, fire and freedom. With her in my arms, I began to believe that fate had other plans for me.
But as secrets of the past exploded around us, it seemed the only thing fated about our relationship was that I had been destined to lose her from the start.
The world owes you nothing. But for Remi, I would risk it all. No matter the cost.

not blown away
This was a novel approach with the MCs surviving a plane crash and all the trauma they had to endure, particularly the MMC. I really felt for him and it just got a bit much for a romance novel for me and then wow, what a twist!
I'm now in a conundrum as to whether to continue or not, as I wasn't blown away by the book and I don't want to go through the agony again but .... reading the reviews for #2 all is not what it seems so there is another twist and I feel almost compelled to read on ... watch this space!

ALY’S SPUN GOLD HERE & I 😋 BINGED ALL THREE
I patiently waited until all three books in this awesome Trilogy was released because I knew AM’s world-building and layers.. her cast of characters.. her cleverly weaved plots with their twists and swoons.. and her heartfelt feels in her cleverly spun romances are always addictive. Addictive non-stop listens for me. But absolutely nuuuuuthhhhhhing could’ve prepared me for this memorable, stunningly heartachingly beautiful, very VERY emotional triumph over tragedy love story. It moves through and flashes back through loss, attraction, chemistry and love.. to grief, moving forward, looking back, growth, strength and Fate’s hand bringing loving soulmates back together again and again. A man lost.. a woman found.. and always always always the most enduring love between them. I really can’t say much about the storyline.. but jaw-dropping more than once folks.. sleepless nights more than twice night owls.. and second chances more than thrice romantics.
Worth a credit? Yes.. yes.. and yes for all three books and each one had a different aura in their crucially constructed part of this masterfully written Trilogy.. and all three parts were magic. I loved the characters, the ebb and flow of the story, the twists and turns, the secrets, the jaw-dropping OMG shocks and the suspense. And the revelations, the gut-wrenching heartache, the passion, the splashes of fun and the beauty in Remi and Bowen’s breathtaking, sweeping, epic romance together.. and apart. The wonderful dual POV narration by Erin and Lance was great too which really makes you feel their joy and their sorrow, their highs and their lows, their pain and their pleasures and their struggles and their triumphs in this wonderfully climactic love story.

Oh my god!!! Such a great narration!
This book takes you through the emotional ringer! What a story that grabs you immediately from the start. This ending has me super thankful I have book 2 waiting already! Narration was perfect and they brought it to life beautifully!

It’s a ‘good’ book
Although I know this is a trilogy… the story is short, and I don’t feel is intriguing enough to open the next book. Though there are so many questions.
I’m giving this four stars because the plot twist in this book was truly unexpected!
Overall a good read - just not great

Holy Mother of.....WHAT DID I JUST LISTENED TO?
Where to begin with this book?.....and it's only the first of three!!! Can't wait to dive into the 2nd in the series. I have read Aly Martinez books in the past, and have enjoyed inmensely listening to the two narrators in other works, such as, Complicated by Kristen Ashley. So the combination of these three was a no brainer. From the very beginning, the narrator captivated my attention with the story line and I was hooked. What I didn't expect was the "OMG ....what just happened?" of Chapter 24....that's all I am going to say. Well....on to the second book!!

Did not see that coming
I don’t judge a book by its cover but I do love a really well done book cover. This trilogy kept catching my eye each time I saw it when it released so I grabbed the audio one day and jumped in. This was my first Aly Martinez read and I went in a bit blind. There were so many surprises about this story which I loved, and I really enjoy the unexpected when reading. Add in a grumpy sunshine dynamic with a plane crash that starts it all, this story had me completely intrigued. With narration by Erin Mallon and Lance Greenfield, the entire experience was a treat.
The story begins months after a horrific plane crash that leaves only a small number of passengers alive. Picking up the pieces of their lives after being released from the hospital and trying to move on, the survivors' lives cross again and again as the lawsuit against the negligent airline comes to a close. Everyone lost something and for Bowen, he lost his fiance, a woman he deeply loved. Remi and her roommate lost their sense of security and are left with PTSD. When Bowen and Remi’s paths cross multiple times, it seems fate is bringing them together for a reason.
This story is just spectacular and there were many things I didn’t see coming. I usually can predict the main plot twists, but with this one, I am quite glad that I sat back and let the story unfold without trying to figure anything out. Book 1 of a trilogy I know there is much more to come for Bowen and Remi and I can’t wait to see where their story takes them.

Wow!
This book was so good. I thought I kind of had things figured out, but at the end I was so shocked. I love how some authors have the ability to take you on a wild ride. Can’t wait to start the next two. The narrators were amazing as well!

Way too SLOW for me ...
So disappointed. I love Aly's books .. this is the first one that took forever .. actually to the end .. to get even close to interesting.
I was looking forward to the other two in the series .. now .. I don't know?

Holy-Plot-Twist
It was good. A 3-3.5 Star kind "good", until that plot twist. Now a good solid 4, and on to the next book, PRONTO.

Boring
This one is not worth moving on to next book. This was so boring. Wasted too much time getting to any point.
