Summary
Did you ever hear the joke about the guy whose wife cheated on him with his best friend? So he quit his job, moved into his parents’ basement, and gained 50 pounds?
No? Because that wasn’t a joke. It was my life.
Four years later, I'm back with a dream job, a killer apartment, and a set of abs that are better than ever.
So, when Maggie Light, a stunning, snarky blonde moves in next door, and we spend the hottest weekend of our lives together, I think this could be the greatest comeback story ever.
That is until I realize Maggie has moved to town to do one thing - steal my job.
Maybe this isn't a comeback story after all. Maybe this is war - one I intend to win.
What I never anticipated was that maybe I’d rather win her.
Perhaps, if I’m lucky, the universe has finally run out of jokes and I can somehow win both.

Love, love, love this story!!!
I was totally invested in the story from the start!! Great humor, banter, sexiness, friendship, and love; and just enough angst.
The narrators are incredible!! Troy Duran has become my go-to narrator. He is a cut above most of the narrators I've heard, and I've listened to many excellent voice artists. Stephanie Rose is new to me, but she was perfect for this book and I will be checking out more of her work. She and Troy complemented each other extremely well here.

Lots of witty banter
This book was a great age gap romance. Shane's ex-wife did a number on him but he pulled himself up. He meets Maggie when she moves to town to take his job. He does not know until he sees her in the office after they had a sexy weekend together. There was lots of banter between Maggie and Shane. They were funny together. Shane wrote a resignation letter that was so funny! I bought this book because it was narrated by Troy Duran and he was more than outstanding. He was a riot! The book had a wonderful HEA.

Awesome RomCom
I've backed off romantic comedies but I'm glad I gave this one a try. It had the perfect balance of heart and heart with humor that wasn't too corny. Shane and Maggie were so cute and just great especially with their flirty banter. I really enjoyed this one.

What a peach!
When the Wall Come Down was a light hearted listen that had me laughing out loud more than once.
The H and h definitely have chemistry from the start. The only issue was a time the H was a bit of a wimp and the h was a tad ridiculous with her internal monologues,
The narration was good and it’s worth the credit I used.

Soooo Goood!!!!!!
Such a good book! Funny, steamy but not gross, Romantic, and a happy feel good ending! I could listen to a series of those two! ❤️
The Narration was amazing! I have gotten to the point in my audiobook addiction where I look for books by my favorite narrator. Troy Duran is my FAVORITE narrator. He has that deep sexy voice, but he can also pull off other voices as well. Stephanie Rose was amazing I will definitely put her on my list of favs.
That being said I loved this author, I am definitely going to check out her other audiobooks. I just pray the narration is good. You can have the best author, best story overview, but a bad narrator can ruin it all in five seconds.

Loved this audiobook!
When the Walls Come Down was SO FUN! There's always a special place in my heart for awkward characters, and getting an awkward H was perfection. Shane was endearing and adorable and so swoony. I even found his fear of heights to be cute (knee pads!). I loved his nickname for Maggie- "Peach" and how he lengthened it to Maggie Peach Light Gray Italian. They had such fantastic chemistry and banter- it was so fun to read! Authors Martinez and Mabie were great together and hopefully they will team up again soon!
Narrators Stephanie Rose and Troy Duran gave great performances. They were both new-to-me, but I absolutely loved their voices.
