Summary

A Washington Post and Amazon Charts bestseller.

From USA Today bestselling author Adriana Locke comes a witty romance about first love and second chances.

After being burned by her dream job in New York City, sports journalist Neely Kimber suddenly finds herself jobless and paying a long-overdue visit to her hometown in Tennessee. Her plan? Relax, reset, and head back up the corporate ladder. There’s just one unexpected step. Neely’s back in Dogwood Lane for barely a day when she sees the man she ran from nine years ago: the bad boy next door who was her first kiss, her first love, and her first heartbreak.

Devoted single dad Dane Madden knows he hurt Neely in the worst way. He’s got a lot to make up for. And as passionate as their reconnection is, it’s a lot to hope for. Having her back in his arms feels so right. But falling in love all over again with a woman who wants to live a world away is bound to go so wrong.

What’s it going to take for Neely to give him - and Dogwood Lane - just one more chance?

I don't get it - Also it's mostly Summer not Aiden

hours in, it appears she has suffered for his bad choices and he's free and clear. Chapter 9 she rips him for SOME of the wrong he has done. chapter 10 SHE'S apologizing to him... huh?!?! second try I finished it but skipped several chapters without missing anything. aiden read less than 2 hours

Sweet story but difficult premise starts the story

Overall, I enjoyed the book and I think this is going to be a great series. However, I have to say that I think that Neely forgave Dane a little too quickly. His transgression was pretty awful. But otherwise, I liked their banter, their relationship and I really enjoyed the cuteness of Mia (Dane's daughter). It was a sweet story overall and addresses the question of whether what you thought you wanted is really what you need. I didn't appreciate the negativity of the city but that could be because I'm a city girl (Although I appreciate the country life too!)

I listened to the audiobook and I loved the narration. Summer Morton and Aiden Snow both played their roles and others really well and elevated the story.

Great second chance romance

Slow start but great ending. Dane and Neely are great characters and I love Mia! Dane and Neely so easily fell back into their rhythm, their undeniable attraction and all of the feelings. Mia is his life but she became Neely’s future in a flash. History is about to repeat itself just when they give in to their hearts and bodies. Fighting for a future involving everything you didn’t know you wanted became Neely’s priority, albeit a bit late. For Dane, the fight for what you want do you don’t make the second biggest mistake of your life takes some prodding from the nanny and the child he has given everything for and to for almost ten years. The result? A spectacular public display and a HEA! Tumble is a great second chance romance.

loved it

(Dane & Neely): oooh small town juicy gossip romance. I loved it. It's a second chance story about Dane and Neely who dated in high school. Because dreams always become a big deal when you're young, Dane breaks up with Neely just before graduation to make sure she goes to college because it's her dream. In doing that, he makes another big mistake resulting in the birth of his daughter. Oh the drama. I have to give it to the author though, she really dragged out the suspense of what exactly happened between these two love birds and it literally killed me. Heartbroken, Neely finally returns to town after eight long years and when Dane sees her, his feelings haven't changed. Though hers has. The book becomes a story about rebuilding relationships, learning to forgive and to accept. I love the conversations that both of the main characters have with the supporting characters, they're all so deep and there's an important message somewhere deep between the lines. I really enjoyed this story. I'm excited to read more from this author.
