Summary

There's no place like seaside Blueberry Cove, Maine, at Christmas - and there's nothing like a wedding, the warmth of the holidays, and an old crush to create the perfect new start....

Interior designer Fiona McCrae has left fast-paced Manhattan to move back home to peaceful Blueberry Cove. But she's barely arrived before she's hooked in to planning her big sister Hannah's Christmas wedding - in less than seven weeks. The last thing she needs is for her first love, Ben Campbell, to return to neighboring Snowflake Bay....

When they were kids, Fiona was the bratty little sister Ben mercilessly teased - while pining after Hannah. But Fi never once thought of Ben like a brother. And that hasn't changed. Except Fi is all grown up. Will Ben notice her now? More importantly, with her life in a jumble, should he? Or might the romance of the occasion, the spirit of the season, and the gifts of time ignite a long-held flame for many Christmases to come? Something old might just become something new....

Really lovely!

Not my usual type of thing at all but really enjoyed it.An old fashioned heart warming romance with some racy bits too but all done so nicely it still seemed tasteful.Have now looked up the author and found she is a prolific writer so I have lots more stories to look forward listening to.
Thankyou Audible for introducing me to this genre again via an ‘Included’ book. It’s a great way of trying new things at no cost.

A nice rom com that degenerates into soft porn

Very predictable. I kept listening in the hope there would be a twist. There wasn’t. In fact keeping going was hard at first as the reader’s voice grated, but I got used to it.

Wordy indeed

Twenty minutes into the audiobook before any dialogue. Twenty minutes of what she was wearing, how cold it was, what she was wearing, how clumsy she was, what she was wearing, and finally, the obligatory how her panties melted at the sight of her old crush. I just couldn’t waste any more time.

Engaging with hilarity.

This series is one of those that makes me want more just like them. not of the same story line but the familiarity of emotions mixed with cackle out loud moments too. any book that can make my LOL, it a keeper.

Good Romance Novel

I love reading romance novels that are apart of a series so the characters stay around longer. Good story with great narration! Amanda Ronconi did a solid job with the various accents. Character development for the entire series was a little weak. You didn’t fall in love with any of the characters and they all started blending together from book to book. Overall solid listen and apart of the romance package.

Sweet, tender romance

The great thing about Donna's books are the sweet, tender, vulnerable people. Are the a bit starry-eyed in their endings? Sure and that's what's great about them. And she has the best taste in performers, which only makes them better.

Who can resist a Christmas romance in a small town between childhood friends? Fireplug McCrea and Ben Campbell certainly can't. Fireplug Fi is a modern flawed person. Ben's a good and normal man. And their story is just lovely.

Superb!

Very witty and fun. Endearing clumsiness and adorable masculinity made me fall in love with these characters!

Nice Continuation of Previous Stories

I was pleasantly surprised to find that each of her female character are actually different and don’t share the same personality. I fine a lot of romance authors fall into that pattern. Great performance by Amanda Ronconi as well!
