If the next one is in multiple parts I won't buy
Story - Loved It.
Performance - Too fast in places and the voices being different to the first 5 is very off putting.
Having the book in two parts looks like a greedy move and if the next book is in multiple parts I will not support that greed so will not buy it.

Another Banger!
Really good story and plot progression overall👏
I think the narration has really improved from the sixth realm part one to this one. As seems to be the case when a narrator reads their second book, they almost seem to become more comfortable with it.
Really enjoyable overall and Im definitely going to be picking up the next one!

Missing the earlier voice actor
The earlier one was better 🙃 but thenew one is still good. I feel its Hard to keep up sometimes in the story of whats happening. Maybe its the phasing.. Idk. Lost intresst a couple of Times but started up again a Day later. Im invested now in the story, so i Will look out for the next book!

BRING BACK TODD MENESSES!
How do you switch narrators mid-series!😱😱
I love the story line, the characters, the natural humor and ribbing between the main characters (Rugrat & Eric), it clearly feels like the author might’ve actually had relationship(s) similar.
All of it works together, every element it seams, fits naturally into the story’s flow, INCLUDING TODD, it was amazing!!! I don’t think I’ve ever waited for a book release like I’ve waited for book number six!!! Then, almost as bad as not writing ERIC into book 6, the Narrator with talent to spare, just vanishes, *poof,* like fart in the wind! So disappointing.
BUT WAIT!!! There’s more! In addition to playing switcheroo with the narrator, because book six was a little longer, someone made the decision to break that book into two halves. From the listener’s perspective, it looks and feels like someone is only worried about milking a listener for two price tags instead of one. Seriously, SERIOUSLY disappointing. (I wish I could add italics and underline some things for more emphasis)
I don’t have the words to express my disappointment.
If not fir the writing and story, I’d have rated it a 1 or 2, as it is, I can’t help but give a 5. Fantastic Writing. 2 for the Narrator.
Forgive my errors in spelling and Grammer. I’m writing at stop lights between my service calls! 😂🤣

Slept through it
Fell asleep throughout most of the book. I just can’t get into it like the previous books. I didn’t even rewind after I slept through it. The narrator has no real change for different characters. I will buy the remaining books on kindle.

Unfortunately the 10 realms died in the 5th for me
I really enjoyed the first five books, they were well written and well performed. Unfortunately the new narrator just isn't up to delivering the story with the same passion Todd did. I powered through the first part of The 6th Realm, hoping i could get passed the uninspired performance, but I couldn't get past the first couple chapters of this. The monotonous delivery made it hard to differentiate characters and really lacked the passion the make the story interesting. I'm betting the book is just as well written as the first 5, so I may check out a written version, but I won't be buying anymore of this series performed by the new narrator.

Disappointment
the author really needs to consider renaming his book titles. As even less of part 2 took place in the 6th realm. He actually just skips over all the highly anticipated orc and dungeon content.
this has become a boring series of debate and discussion about crafting. not even actually crafting. Almost nothing happens in this book that is worth while.
the author has completely lost touch with the roots of what made this series exciting and fun. there is no more 'new' lands or progression. there is no more attribute gaining, technique or spell creation. hardly any combat. and no combat where Eric or Rugrat can truly shine. there's no more roughing it out. testing there metal in a new realm. the author must have taken some horrible horrible advice a few books back. because these books have gone to utter crap.
also why switch the narrator? we don't know who is talking anymore. don't get me wrong I like Neil as a narrator. but he is better for a single mc narration.
chattield I hope you see and read this post, and do something about it before you completely ruin a good thing.

Disappointing
I found myself skipping many parts of the book as they were extremely boring. There is far too much detail of the tertiary characters and their many, many, many meetings. It is like watching live legislature (CSPAN). I am in the series for the Eric and Rugrat adventures, not the trade policies of the Beast Mountains. Summaries of "off screen" actions would suffice where there is an entire, detailed chapter.

spoon feeding
while character development is great and so is the story the author tends to spoon feed information leaving sections of information dumps where systems are over explained brining the listener out of the story to listen to a long monolog that provides little to the story and can be eluded to for a more smooth delivery of info without jarring pauses in the story

Too much chars
This is so bad dude so many characters so many stupid boring side stories there is so much explaining every friking minute is this a how to cultivate, craft etc book? This is a fanatsy story stick with reality of a fantasy story is. I skiped so much of this book because i just couldnt stand "teaching" dont waste ur money or credit on this. This is normaly what happens with a long lived story. I just want at least half of the book to be action fighting cultivating something exciting. Frist book was just eric and rugrat now its eric, rugrat and the other 50 names

Downhill on multiple fronts.
Let's start with just the fundamentals. Chatfield is stubbornly sticking to telling and not showing. Also charging the same price for half a book as one of the full ones is straight shady. A normal book in this series is literally twice as long as these split books. Costs the same as the longer ones though.
My main complaint is that there is no dialog. Every conversation serves as a vehicle for an information dump on topics that have already had information dumps. Sometimes there's an information dump that sums up 3 or 4 other information dumps.
Another point is the oversaturation of povs. there's so many view points that show up just to have a talk that explains in excruciating detail basic stuff that we already know, or serves to tell us how humble everyone is. I'm personally tired of being told how the leaders are so awesome and how they hate to be shown respect.
In conclusion, this series has overshot the talent of the author and has stagnated in chasing too many plots and ideas.

another series with so much potential
I'm really disappointed with how this turned out. excluding the Narrator BS, the story itself completely missed the mark and left so much on the table. he barely touched the realms, no world building or any real difference, power levels seem uneventful, and the 2 main characters haven't so much as flexed their "unbelievable strength " in probably 60hours of listening.
the bulk of the last 2 books repeated the same thing so many times I'm started to hate Alva. I get it, "Alva is not like any other city, The guild is not as simple as we thought, look at their armor that no one but i noticed was really good" . you know all of this bc you get to hear it from every single person who is in the area. plus you get to hear every single person's opinion or observation about it how amazing it is and how the 2 mc are different every other ruler and listen to said rulers complain about how theyre not cut out to be rulers. lucky for them, THEY NEVER DO ANYTHING REMOTELY RULER LIKE other then set the initial ground rules.
I do not recommend this series. the 1st 3 books were good, the rest are garbage. unfortunately, I am going to get the next one only bc it looks to be the last one with any fighting in it.
