About this listen
Coal Volsunga is a dragon convinced he’s better off alone….
As alone as a dragon who is part of a pack can be, that is. Although he loves the work, his feelings are starting to get involved, especially for a wolf entirely too involved with pack life for a loner like Coal.
Jack “Scout” Jerrick is a wolf with two packs, but only one heart….
Dividing his time between his father’s pack and his new one hasn’t been an issue for Scout. He’s learning to protect the secrets of the shifter world and the innocents involved in a dangerous war over magic and power. But when he develops feelings for the cantankerous dragon in his new pack, things begin to get a whole lot more complicated.
After Scout is kidnapped by the mysterious threat hunting their pack, Coal realizes being alone isn’t his life’s mission after all. If he and Scout are able to survive, they must:
…Put aside their preconceived notions and work together to save their pack,
…Learn to love and heal when nothing is as it seems,
…And realize when it comes to being mates, there’s nothing they won’t do to save each other.

Great all round
Another fabulous book in this series. It was so good seeing Scout come into his own, and he and Coal are perfect. The narration was, once again, just so good.

MM Shifter Series
In each book, the story gets better and better. Again, this book kept me gripped, and I loved it.
I love how we are getting more and more characters with each book, but they all link together so well. But the imagination of Macy Blake is incredible. Each shifter is so different but sexy as hell, hence all the hot sex.
Scout (Jack, a Wolf) and Coal (A Dragon) find that they are mates and get together moments before Scout is kidnapped and tortured. Fantastic storyline and keeps you gripped from start to finish.
This is an incredible series and is a must-read for anyone who loves a bit of paranormal MM romance.
The narration was on point, but Michael Dean never disappoints me. I did, however, speed up to 1.20 on Audible, which is my norm.

Excellent!
This is another great story from Macy Blake and a fantastic narration as always by Michael Dean.
It was great that Scout finally got his own spotlight, and Coal is the perfect mate for him.
There're some really entertaining moments such as the morning after their mating and the bad following Scout's abduction.
I'm definitely looking forward to Oracle!

Love that Jack got his story and man
Throughout the series in my mind Jack was always one of the 'Jerrick kids' in the background. I was glad to learn a bit more about him. Like all the Jerrick kids, well not a kid anymore, he has a big heart. He is a fierce fighter and protector and I so like that he and his dragon, Coal get their act together. I always love how Macy writes the need to feed of all the dragons who are mated into the storyline. I so enjoy that they feel at home to more than one pack.
Narration as always spot on.
