Summary
Guess who may just need to end time? You got it: Jon Ryan may be forced to cancel, terminate, and definitively end time itself—everywhere.
Why is he straying in that direction? Well, he wanted to fix the timeline. After the Clan no-timed Earth and Jon resurrected it, he was stressed that the new future would void out the very future that gave us our hero himself. So, Jon did his best to fix the timeline according to how he thought it should be.
You know that feeling when you do something that doesn't turn out well at all, and then somebody asks you how it went—and you don't want to lie but you don't want to tell them the truth either? Yeah, that's kind of how it's going with Jon and his timeline repair job. He's changed time, but like monkey's paw magic, the results are not what he desired. Now, impossible, unexplainable, and undesirable events are happening all over universe. Jon is beginning to lose faith in his plan. By the way, everyone else did long ago.
As reality dwindles, can Jon reverse his run of bad luck, or will he just make existence worse? All your questions will be answered. Now, we just need to find out if Jon will like those answers. Yikes! Better listen to this story sitting down.

Very good.
Everything perfect from beginning to the end.
Very surprising, mostly at the end but I hope book number 5 going to be more surprising as every story about Jon Ryan.

a fitting end
Scott Aiello is a fantastic voice actor and his performance throughout has been a highlight of this entire series. after the previous book I'd about had enough of John Ryan, but I needed to know where this chapter in his "life" lead. I'm glad I stuck around and I hope that the end isn't ruined. 2 billion plus years is life enough for anyone.
just learned it's been ruined.
book 5 is out shortly.... I'll not be bothering with it. by the time I'd finished listening to this instalment I hated John Ryan and I'm more than happy with how this story ended with this latest chapter...any further outings just seems, to me, to be for the money rather than for the sake of the story. 😟

Problematic Filler Book
this book seems to just extend the narrative instead of moving it along. Some really problematic choices around child abuse made as well. altogether not very interesting, and should have just been part of a longer book.

Scott Aiello
Scott Aiello does a wonderful job of reading these stories, he can't save the franchise alone though, the books are becoming shorter, the story lines have so many incongruity errors it's difficult to continue. The ship that is the size of a coffin can comfortably carry whatever the story needs to get out of the dead end it's navigated itself into. All of a sudden John has somehow transformed from the saviour of multiple universes to a petulant teenager. If your reading this I wouldn't bother with books 5 and 6. it's a good place to call it a day with John's adventures.

Just too weird
I have listened to every series so far and enjoyed them. I just found this last book too weird to make any sense. I ploughed through because I felt I could not give up after so many previous books but found myself losing concentration. Bit of a sad end but just a personal observation.

Listen to all previous...
Which were a perfect balance between storytelling and the occasional quip/humour. Sadly the series appears to have taken a dip in story telling. After listening I felt as though half the book was fleshed out with junk and unnecessary attempts at adding humoursome storytelling that just didn't work. Narration was fantastic as always.

Story is good but it’s too short!
Story is good but it’s too short compared to previous series. Wish it was 10hrs or long.
