Summary

One fateful day, a caravan was passing by the village of Teira, which had been raided and set ablaze by bandits. Within the burning rubble, a young woman found a baby, the sole survivor of the attack, and decided to take it with her and raise it as her own. As she was leaving with the little child in her hands, two falling stars lit up the night sky, and she named the boy Asterios.

Years passed, and the boy grew up in a caring and warm home, developing a passion for all magical beasts, choosing the path of a Summoner as his way of life. While his love and knowledge also grew boundless, his practical abilities clearly pointed out his complete lack of compatibility with that school of magic, but he never wavered in his resolution.

Follow Asterios as his life of perpetual failure suddenly takes an unexpected turn, after just seconds short of his death, a powerful summon answers his call and saves his life. Wait...doesn't it look like...a girl? Are those beast ears and tail?

Experience the bundle of the first three volumes from the series Rise of the Weakest Summoner in one go! Jump straight into the vast world of Kraedorion and multiple other realms to explore them alongside Asterios and his adventuring party as they discover more about him and his life!

It had the makings of a good series

The underlying plot might be interesting if it could be pared from all the poorly imagined ‘adult’ elements - hence the three - BUT - the tawdry sex scenes, the totally unnecessarily explicit bestial elements and the completely peculiar acceptance by all the females and their parents of the polygamous hero’s casual acceptance of multiple lovers is beyond fantasy and is unpleasantly seamy. What starts as occasional and cringeworthy, is so frequent by book 3, that there is barely any story. It feels like the author needed to pad the book out for the word count so just slung in tediously unlikely sex scenes every few pages. I always feel obliged to finish books that I’ve bought - rarely has listening all the way through to the end been so unpleasant.

almost slice of life but not quite

OP summoner that struggles to actually feel like they are truly in danger. The MC is intelligent and athletic and ends up with more magic than anyone else, it's very big on power fantasy aspects like that. There are sex scenes which are written again in a power fantasy like way but they are not gratuitous and more often than not it is just that sex is constantly on the mind of everyone but the MC.

all in all not a bad book but not a favourite of mine.

It's was good until, it wasnt

So! let's start off with the positives! the first book and the first half.of the second was an excellent listen, more than happy with the character development and the myriad of voices the actor/ess made, a good balance between the adult content and adventure. Now the critique, I couldn't finish the story... Towards the end of book 2 the main protagonist does a complete one eighty on both his alignment and his personality. The character in my opinion is ruined and so are the participants that are his allies, the conflict was outright uncomfortable and the real threat of his crimes does not suit his character as a whole, I am thoroughly disappointed that the author chose such a mundane, brutal and uncharacteristic way to handle the conflict, considering just how smart our protagonist had acted in the past... Its unfortunate but I couldn't recommend the set in its entirely.

Twisted.

brilliant

Absolutely brilliant story, the MC is likeable and the summons have great personalities as well. The story is awesome with the combat and comedy well integrated. The world has a great amount of depth and lore, which the narrators do an amazing job on bringing to life.

This is just one of my favorites

This is an amazing and fun story, that has a weak mc become op and continue growing! It has harem erotic elements, which are great, well done if you like that. But even if you do not you can skip the helpfullly marked parts without missing much in story, and the story is really enrapturing. I received this free copy in exchange for an honest review. Honestly I've loved this story so much that I've read ahead after the first one and still loved listening to the new audiobooks now that they are out. And will definitely listen to the next ones. The narrators are great, easy to understand and differentiate characters, and boost the experience in all scenes. I definitely recommend this compilation of the 3 firta audiobooks and the whole series!

A LitRPG, DnD YA Harem: Pass.

This harem has an uninspired springboard MC, boring cookie-cutter world, and poorly inspired interpersonal dialogue.

The decent narration gives this series much more life than it deserves, but you'll be bored if you regularly listen to books of the genre. It TELLs and does NOT show almost everything that happens. And what little of the world it tries to SHOW you is so typically a trope in a white-washed litrpg/mmo game that if you're like me, your eyes will find themselves rolling often.

The setting sums up as a boring DnD campaign with dungeon cores(litrpg). Nothing is new or feels real enough to connect to.
Except for the girls.
And even those are one-dimensional.

Give it a try if you like. What's the harm? But if you near the end of its 28 hours without being intrigued, smiling, caring, crying, or getting horny, return it as it deserves.
Most likely, you will be returning it.

I found it unbearable and returned it after 8 hour

i will start by saying the performance is adequate if not a bit uninspired. There is only so much that can be done depending on the source material.

I spend 50+ hours a week listening to books and just couldn't force myself to listen to this past the 9hr mark and retuned it which is not common for me. This book is forgettable at best, in my opinion.

The author seems fixated on hitting us over the head with the fact that the MC is a beta male nice guy. The sort that in real life are nearly always sociopathic manipulators. He just goes through a constant stream of virtue signals to the point that it is almost comedic. We get it, he is extremely unmasculine and thinks that is a good thing. He spends large chunks trying to be empowering to his summon.

Over and over we are hit with the MC complementing his summon, she gets flustered and shy about it, then he reassures her to accept the praise. Thus happens a ridiculous number of times in just the first few hours. They can read each other's minds yet she is stunned and flustered at every compliment ir praise and the listener is constantly reminded that the MC is different than normal people in his attitudes and very feminine. it is framed as a positive but out of all the magic and fantastical beasts, the most unbelievable thing is the fact that we are supposed to believe anyone would like someone as insufferably self-righteous at the MC.

The side characters are generic and forgetable. The shy girl who can't admit her feelings, the rich snobby bully, the cocky tough guy who gets showed up and wants revenge. Nothing here is new or particularly interesting.

Obviously, the book has reviewed well although I often find audible reviews suspicious. This one is a hard pass for me and I would not recommend it. I really tried to give it a chance but it mever got better. I will often tough out a book even if it is mediocre but I couldn't imagine push through another 20 hours of this. It is one of those books that take an actual effort to focus on due to your mind wandering from boredom.

Nope

This book has one of the major nopes I have for any hero/superhero books and that is that the MC either loses his power or has a body swap and this this book has it

Luv it as an ebook, Luv it more now!

Really fun series that is a joy to listen to. I have recommended this series to my (grown) children and a few friends. We all agree that this is a keeper. Jonathan Waters and Ellory Lane both have my utmost respect for their performances. Also, it's almost 29 hours of GOOD listening for 1 credit. This is a no brainer. Enjoy, I know I did.

Excellent series.

I decided to try this series on a whim after reading a few reviews. I’m glad I did it has become one of my favorites to date. The characters are great, the cast performance is great and it is a wonderful story. Overall I can’t complain about anything. I hope this will be a long running series it seems to have the makings of a great series. I look forward to reading/listening to more volumes in the future. Thank you for this great series to all that had a hand in making this.

Max Cringe

I think the main story has merit. Won’t ruin it for others, so no details here. I really did like the concept.

It’s cliche writing. Cringe lines that is so far beyond realistic. Like really?! Master this and Master that. Yuck. Referring to someone by their first name instead of a you is PAINFUL to listen to. If we’re talking and I say, ‘if John thinks so’ (and you’re John) how does that sentence make any sense?!

Maybe a good book for horny teenagers with superiority problems into anime.

Omnibus does not mean complete series.

I was ecstatic to find out that book 7 is coming out on Kindle next month.
I was bummed to find out that only the first 3 books are on Audible. And so now I have to wait to find out what happens next. This Omnibus is the first 3 books. You can get them separately.
I am really into this series now.
The MC starts out as the weakest summoner in the magic school and then something happens, He gets kicked out of school and somehow gets a summons stronger than anyone else's.
Wonderful HaremLit.
