Summary
Oram's journey from average Joe to hero begins when he's transported into his favorite game. Lucky for him, he still has access to his early backer class, the Phylomancer, a mage class that learns spells and abilities by binding others to him.
To become a master of the fantasy world of Aerda, Oram will need to embrace his role as a Phylomancer. Along the way, he will forge powerful bonds with his companions, a beautiful elven ranger, a fierce priestess of the icy North, and a deadly and seductive demon assassin.
This box set contains the complete Aerda Online series, consisting of books one through three (Phylomancer, Demon Tamer, and Clanfather).
Note: This LitRPG fantasy adventure contains unconventional relationships. Also contains lots of crunchy stats and system messages.

Sauce, Swords and Sorcery!
The only real issue with the series is the length of the book's.
It's to short.
The narrator does a decent enough job. Interesting choice to have a male narrative be done by a female actor... However it makes sense as for while the perspective is a man's, the voice's we hear most often are women... Plus it doesn't hurt during the graphic and explicit sex scenes!
Interestingly though, whilst the sexual side is a strong selling point, it's not it's ONLY worthwhile attribute. The story, whilst unoriginal in it's basis, is still done well. At time's I wish there to be more character development, with more contraversy, challenges, banter/comedy, rather ironically enough more sex scene's or perhaps less vanilla(?!lol) and as mentioned earlier longer, I could go on...
Its a fun read with a decent narrator who rallies to be a male hero who is never quite challenged enough, by that I don't mean just his physical foes, but by his new reality and all that would entail.
But like I said for what it is, it's alot of fun and the sex scene's, whilst a lot tamer than I expected and less numerous, is still plenty enough to live up to the front page of the book! 😉😁
Enjoy 🙂 xx

Wow
A fantastic series that kept me hooked from the start by Jack Bryce. Oram is a great character to follow on his journey in an interesting world with allot of adventures. Would have love to see more of the adventures to come. More action packed than the Country Mage series by Jack Bryce but just as entertaining. Erin Bateman did a great job with the narration.
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

A new class for me
I've never played an RPG in my life so Phylomancer was a new idea to me.
I'm always game for something new. I came across this whole genre because I experimented.
This is a good, solid story that kept my interest. I tend to listen to one book from each series I'm going through at any time. This one brought me back for more every time.
They have good characters, good narrators and a good story, all around a good listen.
I'd happily see this series continued.
Oh, the 'adult' scenes are very well written. It's almost like the writer is drawing from personal experience 😊

Crunchy
Crunchy stats, saucy unabashed fun, sexy women and brutal fast paced combat. One absolutely brilliant magic class with an MC that uses their powers cleverly. In other words a brilliant series!

Awesome Isekai Trilogy
Big fan of Jack Bryce (especially his country mage series) and this one doesn't disappoint.
The world building is solid as well as the LITRPG aspects as the main characters grows throughout the series.
Erin Bateman is fantastic as always.

NPCs as real as Players; great fun and narration!
As required by U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regulations and Audible requirements, I am disclosing that I was given a free review copy of this audiobook at my request. I have listened to the audiobook, and I have voluntarily left an honest review. Receiving a review copy did not influence my rating nor my review.
“Phylomancer: The Complete Series” succeeded at what many LitRPG books fail to do: entertain me and make me glad that I listened to it! Basically, I’m generally bored by recitations of classes, quests, stats and leveling up; I find it repetitive, and distracting from character development and plotlines. Phylomancer somehow made it work, though. Perhaps, to some degree, because it was occasionally a bit tongue-in-cheek, such as when the MC referenced classes only attainable to early Kickstarter backers.
The NPCs in Phylomancer are as real to the MC as are the other Players, and to the reader/listener they certainly are fully-developed characters with rich, distinctive personalities.
There’s plenty of intrigue in the story, along with plenty of action (and, errr “action”). Lots of humor keeps things moving along quickly without getting too dark.
Erin Bateman delivers, as usual, a fantastic performance. I recently listened to her as part of a duet narration; while I did enjoy that, she is one of the female VA’s who is excellent on her own, delivering a range of male and female voices. I recommend the audiobook over the Kindle version.
And recommend, I do! 5* for Phylomancer. It’s billed as “The Complete Series”, and so far it is. But…while satisfying, the ending was a bit of a “soft ending”, definitely leaving things open for further adventures. One can hope!

mc ruins the potential of the story
the story was pretty good with a lot of potential, but the MC absolutely ruins it. what kind of weekend gaming partier comes into a new world and tries so hard to talk like everything they say is an important triumphant speech?
we shall not fail so long as we remain together!
nope.
and the fact that he's just ridiculous. how's a lawyer "rushing into it without considering our actions" over and over and over and over. then when he screws up Again acts all sad about having to take the life of "some guy just doing his job" awe shucks. let's all mourne this dude and try to contemplate all the various people who may have been waiting for him to come home when the entire universe is at steak. dude is straight up working in a situation that's obviously evil. it's his own fault he's dead. just one example.
sorry, needed to vent. but that's the type of frustration the mc makes you feel non stop. never seen one person who was such a wuss end up with a harem. this series could have been so good.

I enjoyed the series!
Good story, good character development, and suspicious ending! Really a pleasant listen. I really loved to follow the main character as he deals and learns.

no true pace.
the story as a whole seemed to soundwave back and forth a bit much for my liking. the narration was well done, though the difference in the voices I found lacking from one accent to another.
an experience worth the trilogy, would advise kindly away from as single titles

Horrible with a bad narrator
The narrator makes every person a young girl man woman beast doesn’t matter. Stories infantile seems that he cared more about the sex in the story. And if I known it was about some guy wanting to create a harem of women to do his bidding, I would not have gotten us. Character get so strong so quickly defeat stronger people, so easily totally unbelievable. Don’t waste a credit like I did.

Was Good, but could have been better.
liked the characters, the game system was meh. The whole progression seemed off, and hurried especially in book three. it was almost like the author got bored and hurried to wrap things up. If there any follow-up books, I ho0e the author takes a deep breath and takes his time in his storytelling.

Decent concept ruined
Decent concept ruined by puberty level lusting and terrible forced left wing talking points. Neither seem to have any real impact on to overarching concept. I usually just skip those scenes in these books, if i did that here id be skipping half the book. On top of all that he contradicts himself constantly. Doesn't want to be a class cannon IRL, continues glass cannon build. Loves summoning, ignores it.

Quite Bad
At best this book was bad. The author was an obvious WOKE liberal with an improper education and even worse understanding of life. His word usage indicates he probably spent too much time in front of his computer or playing Dungeons and Dragons and not enough in the real world. I used to be like that, but then I got a life. I think it would do him good if he did the same. If he broadened his experience he might get a better understanding of good and evil. but as it is he has trouble telling them apart and it comes out in his characters. The narrator may be from another country because she pronounced a few of the words differently.
