Summary

Kristjan was visiting with nobles and royalty at an undisclosed location when his meeting was interrupted by an assassination attempt on the royals.

Fortunately, the attempt was thwarted, but Kristjan was severely injured in the process. He surrounded himself within a barrier to try and heal himself, but no one knows where he is or if he lives.

Will Kristjan succumb to his injuries, or will his bonded step in and help?

This book is intended for mature audiences due to cursing, unconventional relationships, and violence within.

A Good Story

I have loved this story and this installment has just made it harder to wait for the next book. It's just a good and fun story if you know what I mean. The narrators do a fantastic job in bringing this to life.
Well done! 5*****

Need

If you really enjoy books that have a actual storyline along with the harem nonsense, then this year is a highly recommended one. It’s so highly recommended the fact that I am currently very angry at the fact that the third book has not yet been added to audible. And I hope it is rectified soon! Xander Jade is a phenomenal writer, and I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the works of been put up by them.

Awesome

I love this series. The characters are funny and powerful. The way Chris has evolved his power is amazing. I can’t wait for the next book to see what he does next.

Great Second Book

I really enjoyed the first book in the series so I thought I’d pick up the second. I am happy to inform that I was not disappointed.
The second book covers Chris’s adventures while giving us a greater understanding of the evil that is coming into this world. There is more intrigue in this book along with backstabbing and betrayals.
Overall, this second volume provides the same amount of adventure and excitement as the first book.
I think you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Worth it !

I usually don’t write a full review, but this has to be one of the best series that I’ve listened to by far. This book has humor, suspense and every thing else need to keep the reader intrigued Throughout the entire book.

Disappointed

I was so looking forward to this book I loved the first and couldn’t wait till this one came out
First two hours a person could skip through and not miss anything.
Like most book 2 in series the whole book did nothing but add tasks to be done and then does nothing to accomplish any tasks
Right when they do finally start moving the story again it takes a turn and slams on the brakes and just goes completely insane the last two chapters was just so stupid one can just shut it off and again not miss anything
All the bouncing around between characters at times get confusing and again don’t do anything to move the story forward just makes the book longer
There is so much unfinished tasks that needs to bo done I just hope it won’t be a long stretch until next book is released

Mc is being handled/manipulated too much

For being such a bad ass he is being handled pretty thoroughly by some of characters in story there is growth and development of the other characters but it all feels like distractions and kris is getting pulled every direction and he just goes along with it . Ill see where next book takes it
