Summary

Why must all good things come to an end?

In Washington state wine country, Red Mountain is a refuge for searchers and wanderers, artists and lovers, farmers and chefs — people looking for a place to belong. Despite the stunning landscape, the world-class wines, and their best efforts, the eccentric inhabitants often attract trouble.

Brooks Baker, the man with the most broken of pasts, craves stability, but he’s forced into making a tough decision when the woman he loves considers a move to Florida.

Margot Pierce, the dream chaser and innkeeper who fled Vermont to escape her first marriage, faces a new challenge when her fiancé’s estranged daughter comes to town.

Otis Till, the Grapefather, knows it’s time to hand over the reins to the new guard of Red Mountain. But he wants just one last great vintage before he goes.

Red Mountain Burning is the third book in the story of the many souls fighting to make their small wine-growing region thrive amidst a world of dysfunction and chaos. Are they strong enough to endure the many fires of the coming vintage or will Red Mountain go down in flames?

Richness of words

This was written with a richness of words that wrapped me in great appreciation of what a great author and great storyteller can do for mere readers. I learned much about wine, of course, but also about human interaction as it fails but succeeds.

A Must Read Series

This is my first time reading anything from Boo Walker, and I am enjoying his writings. His development of the characters in the series let you into their lives, and you felt as if they were your friends. The series made you laugh, cry, cuss, and feel the love they had for Red Mountain.
As a wine lover, I appreciated all the ins and outs of the wine making process and the devotion and love of the characters to the process.
Great job Brian Avers.

Red Mountain Forever

I just finished the third book in the trilogy. Usually I’m ready to go on to something else after being in one story for so long, but I find myself hoping Boo Walker will return to Red Mountain at some point, perhaps with some of the old characters, maybe with some new stories. I was born in Yakima, but have spent many decades in Northern California. Red Mountain couldn’t have been a more perfect story for me.

Loved this series.

Excellent story. Loved the characters that were so real and full of turmoil in their lives. Always enjoyed a glass of wine, now have a better understanding of the process of wine making.

don't know how this guy got the gig.
I have read two other books in this series and was looking forward to the audio book. I was very disappointed with the performance. it was horrible.
