About this listen
Savanah lives a simple and quiet life with her husband, Jamie, and their two-year-old son, Benji. Life couldn’t be better for the organic farm family in Oregon. But when their simple and natural life is featured in a magazine with Savanah’s face on the cover, it lands in the wrong hands.
Jamie must leave for a business opportunity to further his family’s future, and it’s only then when the nightmare begins. The phone rings, confirming revenge is on its way.
A riveting game of cat and mouse, leaving Savanah only hours to clean up her past and the crime she walked away from—before she was Savanah.
A psychological thriller with a twist you won’t see coming.

Sexy Thriller
Adele ran from an abusive past and made a new life for herself. A lovely life might I add, with a new name, Savannah. But one photograph changes all that, and her past comes back to haunt her in the worst of ways. This is a tense thriller, not for the faint hearted. There’s some graphic and violent scenes, be warned. Adele is young and extremely naive, Garrett is violent, manipulative and controlling. Everything becomes clear as we travel backwards and forward in time from when she met her first husband to present day. I listened to the audio version narrated solely by Brooke Chambers, I thought she was brilliant. I loved the multiple POVs. All Adele/Savannahs POVs were narrated in the first person and all other characters were in third person. I thought it worked really well. Some unbelievable parts, but altogether an entertaining story with an unexpected twist. I also loved the song at the end. I received a complementary copy of this audiobook. This is my honest review.

What a wild ride!
Gina A Jones knows how to play with my mind. I started this book thinking, oh, I can just listen while I work. A little story in the background. Until it started monopolizing my mind! A psychological thriller is exactly what this is and it is fantastic. Savannah lives a nice quiet life with her husband Jamie and two year old son, Benji. They have an organic farm, and life is good. Except Savannah holds secrets. Ones that could change the course of her entire life, and those secrets and her past are now catching up with her. With twists and turns, Jones took me from the present to the past, back and forth as Savannah's story unfolds. From rags to riches to rags, she is makes unthinkable decisions as her life takes so many turns for the worse. But now, she is finally settled and happy. Now she will make another choice and it's met with the greatest of odds and the most unsuspecting of partners. I could not stop listening until it was over and my mind is still stuck in the story. It's one that will play on in my mind as the movie it should be. It's an amazing book!
And making it even better is Brooke Chambers. She comes in as Savannah, the sweet wife and mother, making her soaps and takes her back to the beginning. The voices for each part of her life are perfectly chosen, with awe, love, passion, regret, pain, and she matures as the time goes on. She is incredible! Then she poses as each of the secondary characters from evil that we love to hate to sweet and loving that are impossible not to love. Add in her little boy voice and she is nothing short of impeccable. I loved her narration and she truly enhanced the story.

The music totally spoiled it as it was so annoying. The story was good the characters too and the narration was enjoyable.
