About this listen
Angel Sands is an old-fashioned seaside resort of bed and breakfasts, cottages to let, and teashops. And with the best views of the tiny beach is Paradise House, home to the Baxter girls. With their mother taking time out to find herself, it’s down to them to maintain the smooth running of the family-owned bed and breakfast. Not an easy task given that their father - now that his wife isn’t around - has suddenly become a moving target for the opposite sex.…

I really enjoyed it
This is the first Erica James book I've read and I really enjoyed it. The characters were all believable, the story went along at an easy pace and the narrator did a great job of giving each character a different voice.

Gentle story set in Wales
Didn't enjoy this as much as Erica James's other books. Thoughtful and gentle story, but quite long drawn out. The narrator I found a little irritating, sorry narrator! It's hard to listen to an accent for so long , even though I'm welsh myself.

Great story, poor narrator.
Narrator leaves a lot to be desired as she highlights the wrong words and gives an awful accent to the deaf person. I persevered as I enjoyed the twists and turns in the story.

Good story
Good story but think it needed a younger voice. The Midlands accent was diabolical and put me off, shame as Erica James books are amongst my favourite.

a family saga
A family, although dysfunctional, living together through the years. Starting when Genevieve is a young child, growing up with all the usual anxiety of a teenager and then her life in adulthood. When her teenage boyfriend turns up at her door when she is running the family B&B she doesn't know what to do.

narration
I enjoyed the story but felt it was let down by the narration. the sisters' voices weren't young enough and the Birmingham accent was troubling!
