A lovely.....
story with some great characters and antics within the book. The narrator was very good at using different voices for the characters.

Disappointing narration

Airs and Graces
I have enjoyed Erica James' books in the past, but I was disappointed in this novel.
I thought it was too long, and it became tedious at times, and trivial. One glaring error was when Jo Jo was about to have her baby, there had been a power cut, but amazingly all the lights were switched on in Ellen's cottage, so that Bonkers was able to deliver the baby. and Duncan just seemed to disappear from the scene, also Roger turned up, but also did a disappearing trick. I thought there might have been a final showdown.
Not up to the authors usual standard.

Light and easy read
This book was recommended by a good friend. I loved the depth and ease of the friendship portrayed between the 2 main characters.
The narrator’s characterization was very good. Would recommend this to my daughter.

Initially I thought
This book is too smaltzy for me but I persevered and in the end I enjoyed it. It is long and sometimes I thought oh get on with it……to the inevitable end. Kept me busy though,

Lovely story
I enjoy Erica's stories and writing style. Her characters are great. I love the focus upon friendship, as well as romantic and family relationships. Excellent.

Good story
I was a bit sceptical in the beginning as the story was not being read by Gerri Halligan, but a narrator that I had not heard of. In the end I really enjoyed the story and the narrator.

V entertaining and couldn’t air to listen to it.
