Summary

Brand new from the top 10 best-selling author of New Beginnings at Seaside Blooms and Finding Love at Hedgehog Hollow.

With new arrivals comes new responsibilities....

The sun is shining, wild flowers are blooming and Hedgehog Hollow is officially open for business.

For Samantha, the proud owner of this beautiful rescue centre, life has never been busier. But with an influx of new hogs and hoglets to take care of, not to mention a full-time job and ongoing family issues, can she accept the possibility that she has taken on more than she can handle?

Fortunately, she has the love of her life, Josh, by her side for support and encouragement. But Josh has his own family troubles to deal with. And soon he must decide if he's ready to do the one thing he swore he’d never do - forgive his father.

For both Samantha and Josh it's a season of change and for figuring out whether the past can ever truly be forgotten.

Too much hedgehog campaigning!

I listened to the first book in this series and was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed it. This one is just a campaign in educating the listener in hedgehog welfare and the dangers they face. The real stories become background noise and are so far fetched it’s ludicrous. If she’s having dead hedgehogs nailed to the wall and dead ones being delivered she seems to be doing very little about it!!

Gave up half way through as couldn’t take anymore of the ‘save the hedgehog’ and gory details.

Wonderful book.

I have just come across Jessica’s books and have now ‘listened’ to 3 books back to back and am now about to start my 4th one.
I love the stories and the twists and turns in the plots. They are delightful to read and lift the heart in these very strange times. I love nothing better that a cup of tea, my crochet and my audio book.
Kudos Jessica you have another avid fan. I look forward to the next book in the hedgehog hollow series with great anticipation after the cliff hanger ending of this one 😊

This was a great listen. Such a lovely follow on. Wonder if there will be a third in the series I do hope so.
Seriously worth listening to. Only problem is. It was over too soon 😂

Beautiful ♥️

So....after Jessica Redland leaving us hanging after the first book, I was so excited about New Arrivals At Hedgehog Hollow.
I wasn't disappointed, not only does Sam & Josh fill your heart with love (and Hedgehogs) but they drag you in completely to their life at Hedgehog Hollow.
I have no idea how Jessica can do this, her talent as a Author is absolutely outstanding.
Emma Swan & James Drydon are absolutely perfect to narrate this book too, their voices get you so excited to carry on listening, I read this in two sittings!!
the small criticism i have is that.... it's now finished 😫
this book has everything you could want, love, passion, friendship, twists, cliff hangers & of course cute little Hedgehogs..... what more could you want 🤔

What the hedgehog…

Look, loved the first book. I laughed I cried, hated the mom. WHYYYY!!! Male narrator ruined my image of Josh. Book could’ve done without him. That voice!!

More heavy

Honestly, if you are looking for a lighthearted story, this isn't really the one for you. Its not a bad story, but its not all sunshine and lollipops and happy occurrences. In fact there are quite a few bad experiences and horrible people.

The things that this author has her characters go through are tough. VERY TOUGH. In real life, I cannot imagine "real" people taking the high ground as often as these characters do. It gets annoying and angering, not gonna lie. You find some happy moments but you will definitely keep finding yourself saying, "If I were them!!!!"

I wasn't a huge fan of James Dryden as a narrator. He didn't do terribly, but I could have done without his narration. Especially his voice for Beth. Very whiny and simpering. Was quite annoying.

Trauma-Bonding at Hedgehog Hollow

I love that this series has a cozy, easy-listening feel. However, it was hard to fully embrace the story because my mind kept ringing off alarm bells of trauma-bonding between the main characters.

This book details the emotional/verbal abuse of the main character from her mother. It also references cheating, assault and r***, and child loss. So be mindful if any of these topics might be triggering for you. Upon reflection, maybe this book doesn’t have a cozy, easy-listening feel after all…

I love this series

I'm really enjoying this series! Jessica Redland is very good at weaving a good story that makes you feel good and is thought provoking. She brings in characters who are very damaged and balances them with characters who are working on solutions to their own problems.

In each book with this narrator, I have had to get used to her voice. It was in this book that I discovered how she (the narrator) does such a perfect job of expressing enthusiasm and thankfulness. Since I noted that quality, I have enjoyed her voice much more.

Enjoying

Glad there are more Hedgehog Hollow stories. I will be listening to them all, even though I struggle with the narrator choice for the main character.
