About this listen
In Prince of Kragdon-ah, Alex Hawk and the intrepid crew of The Senta-eh sailed into a mysterious fog. When they emerged, some of the crew was missing or dead, two strangers were on board, and they were all nearly starved. The only two people who knew what had happened in the fog were not talking.
Mists of Kragdon-ah tells the story of what happened to Alex, Monda-ak, Amy, and Sanda, and everyone aboard The Senta-eh inside the fog. Mysterious airships, strange creatures never seen on Earth, and dangerous quests will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Includes a special note from the author.
©2022 Shawn Inmon (P)2022 Podium AudioWhile I enjoyed this, It's not as good as the books before it in the series imho, but Jonathan Mcclain is as good as ever.
More of this and less redemption stories of serial killers please.
I love this world and these characters

Warning: Spoiler ahead in the paragraph following this one. I do kinda wish that I had read (ok, listened to this book in the order in which it happened within the timeline of Alex Hawk, that is f what? Chapters 17 and 18 of book 5, Prince of Kragdon-ah.
Ok so now my little niggles:
1. It'll be kinda sad if the family that help them escape this world are not seen in subsequent books. Their exit was a little abrupt.
2. You are the sum of your experiences and so the stealing of everyone's memories was an horrendous thing to do. Also it seemed as if it was without the consent of even his own daughters!!! I just can't square that sort of behaviour with the otherwise noble Alex Hawk. It might have been dressed up as done to "protect" his forces but that didn't wash for me. There was certainly no need to do that to his daughters and what sort of friend does that. This element of the story pained me.
3. Ok so this is more about the other books in the series than this one which was actually not as bad - but i found the addition of "eh" and "ah" at the end of all the names irritating. I understand that Shawn Inmon wanted to make the world more immersive somehow with its own distinct language but it just got on my tjts.
4. A herb that basically makes people immortal and no one wants to take a cutting or sample on which to the form jane sequencing and what about the sample the ape people gave him to put in his bag? Could that not have been used on Alex's ribs, injoured shortly after he was given this gift? Could Alex have perhaps suggested the herb to the woman in her floating invalid chair ⁶
5. could the woman who had advanced healing tech not of used it on herself? And what about the poor mute giant? Could his mute problem have at least been assessed? Could his painful joints not at least been treated? For such a loyal follower and such an important character (as an intimidating presence to deter aggression and as the only one who can lift Alex's dog 🐕) it's shameful how little Alex seems to care for his ailments.
I could write more but try as I might I can't concentrate adequately at 4am and even this snippet is taking waasay tooo much thinging.
Overall a solid 75/100.
