Everything… absolutely fabulous series

If you love Roman History then this whole series is an absolute must listen. Mr Turney is a master story teller & historian, bringing Caesar’s story to life, with a few new takes on some of the issues & possible reasons for events in his life. I felt like I was actually in some of the battles, thanks in no small part to the wonderful narration of Malk Williams. I’m bereft that I have now finished all of the books tbh🙁😂. I can only hope in the future that Fronto will return or at least his children in some form. I really wanted to see Galronus married too.. honestly, men🙄.. it’s all battles & no nice bits… only kidding .. the battles are bloody epic😂👍🏻 .. thank you both for a fabulous book series & listen 😘

Fascinating last days of Caesar in a new light

I liked knowing about the different scenarios surrounding the conspiracy to kill Caesar and how Fronto would behave in such a troubling and conflicting situation .

"What stood out most" it asks. well, the answer is the hair on my neck when Fronto announced his family's new name.

It has been a very long and amazing journey to follow Turney's depiction of Caesar's later life. Read and re-read multiple times. I am both sad and oddly happy to say farewell to Fronto whom seem to have been around most of my life. Nostalgia, fondness and family spring to mind to describe the odd feeling.

thank you, MR. Turney. I hope to go to a booksigning some day and express my gratitude personally. But untill then, thanks.

just so good!

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series from start to finish. A relatable protagonist, who allows us to experience the rise and fall of Ceaser through his eyes, bringing a human experience to a fascinating historical story. Malk Williams, the narrator, has done an amazing job as ever bringing the whole thing to life and I'd like to thank him and Simon Tourney for this experience

the end

a brilliant series following men of rome and julius ceasar, campaign and conquer, first Romans in Britain, rubicon, civil war, cleopatra, Africa, Spain.
and finally rome, trying to save the Republic by killing ceasar, the senators involved actually killed the Republic, and octavian emerges as first emperor.
book 1 was my introduction to malk Williams, and he has become one of my favourite narrators.

Great ending to the series

Absolutely brilliant, well planned, executed (pun intended) and a superb performance by Mr Williams, we need Galronas to have a book or two now.
