Let the women take over!
I can’t quite put my finger on why this isn’t a five for me but it isn’t. It’s a perfectly fine book but it didn’t grab me. Girl avoiding a forced marriage and a young knight end up joining the Templars to seek sanctuary and end up totally committed to defending their new comrades. The main character is the young knight , not the girl despite the title of the book. Trouble is that he’s quite stupid and gets several people killed because of that. He redeems himself later (of course) but by then I’d rather taken against him and hoped someone would shoot him at the end. This book does have one of the best Author’s Notes in a while. Even a mature professional like me kept snorting at the mention of a Sister Titborga and thankfully the author is very understanding of such silliness!

Slightly predictable
An unusually setting but a fairly formulaic story. It held my interest well enough but I don’t think I’ll be reading any more in the seties

Very enjoyable book.
Great narration - Jonathan McGarrity has a very listen-able to voice). Great story. I enjoy medieval history and this one didn’t disappoint.

Great story, and fantastic epilogue, the narrator was shockingly boring and has put me off completely im affraid
