Summary
Being rejected by my fated mate is the least of my problems. I’m a half-breed, a Cursed. The wolf half gets me an alpha for a fated mate...the witch half gets me killed. Or so they think.
Now four Viking Alphas are all that stand between me and certain death. They need my powers to take over the Savage Sector, and they’ll hold my sisters as leverage until they get what they want from me.
My wild magic, my heart.
My wolf calls to them, but I can't trust them to keep me alive once this is over. I'm just an omega to them, but that mistake may cost us all our lives
What the Viking alphas want, the Viking alphas get. And right now that’s me and my wild magic.

Fantastic Listen!
Lost Wolf is a wonderfully written Rejected Mate, Paranormal Shifter Romance, and an amazing start to the Savage series. Mila Young's worldbuilding is creative with intriguing supernatural elements, and her characters are, as always, fascinating and appealing. I really got into the story; it was imaginative, stimulating, and exciting, with unforeseen twists and turns. There were a couple dark factors and threats, definitely a cause for triggers for some readers/listeners. Overall though, Lost Wolf was a fantastic listen with excellent narration. Krys Janae portrayed the characters and the nuances of their emotions very nicely, bringing them to life. I'm certainly looking forward to starting the next instalment.

Half Witch, Half Wolf
This is the first book in a four-part series, the author does a very good job with the world-building and introducing the important characters.
The story starts when Nora, the oldest of three sisters, two of whom are Cursed because they carry magic, but that is something they have managed to keep secret. If it were discovered they would be killed, they are orphans because the current Alpha of the pack killed their parents when her mother is, Magic was discovered. In order to keep herself and her sisters safe she must agree to mate with her fated mate, whilst attempting to keep her magic a secret.
Unfortunately, when she becomes frightened, by her maté’s behaviour her magic reveals itself. Her fated mate rejects her and then proceeds to throw her over a cliff to ensure she dies.
Somehow Nora lives but is separated from her sisters, whom she sent away for their own safety. Later in an attempt to find them, she strikes a deal with Ragnar, one of four Viking alphas that if they find her sisters, she as payment will guide them safely through the cursed Woods so that they may claim the Savage Sector on the other side.
No more spoilers from me, the book ends on a cliffhanger, one I certainly didn’t see coming. Who is really on her side, is it the four Viking alphas, or is it the witches?
The book was beautifully narrated, by Krys Janae, adding to my enjoyment of the story.
I was given this audiobook as a gift, and I am voluntarily writing my review.

Wow
The start of this one had me on the edge of my seat and it just did not let up, I felt for Nara she went through so much and it just keeps continuing but she’s also incredibly brave and resilient and I love that about her. This is a book that I would highly recommend. There’s great chemistry, adventure and amazing characters.

Reminds me why I don't like reverse harem
Despite my distaste for aspects of this story the narration by Krys Janae was outstanding and totally flawless. I could not fault any aspect of the listening experience and was drawn into the characters and story despite my reservations.
In terms of the novel, first, I would like it to be a little clearer that it is a reverse-harem as this is a genre I avoid. Second, I could not handle the love interests constantly being on the edge of raping someone hired to assist them with a quest. In my mind, there is no coming back from that. Any relationship built based on 'stockholm syndrome' or similar is not worthy of my time or connection. The constant rape threats from multiple companions (and others they come across) are particularly distasteful and potentially very triggering. The idea that her wolf still wanted someone who had attempted to murder her seemed far-fetched and certainly an ugly twist......
On the positive, I did like the slow burn story and the world building is detailed and interesting. Overall, the storyline is well-crafted and I enjoyed the fresh approach that the 'half-wtch' and 'viking' scenarios brought to the table.
Overally, those able to warm to the themes may find it a worthy new series.

Wolf
Loved listening to Krys Janae, she brings out the strength of the characters. Great narration.
Narah is hiding her family secret, trying to protect her sisters by mating with her True mate, but what happens if your true mate is not what he seems. This book has such twists and turns, drama. What more can you need, Vikings and Wolf shape shifters.
Strong leads.

lost Wolf 🐺
okay the ending just got Interesting, like WTF is going on. is that her real sister or is it an Illusion. what will she do? to be honest I hope she stays with the wolf's, plus she has her new mate now, and he's willing to do whatever it takes to take care of her.
but enough of that you guys are going to love this story full of Adventure, and drama. the narrator is really good too.

another heroine portrayed as less than
This was kind of brutal. The alphas were selfish and ruthless- some more than others- and had their own agendas. The heroine seemed blind to all the motives. Being a witch, I expected more. Of course a cliffhanger. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator was good.

Great start to the series!!
The audio was great! It was a fantastic start to the series and I highly recommend this Author!!!I just really wish there was a guy audio part for the MMC. It would have been wonderful to have both female and male parts separate. I am not trying to dismiss Krys's performance she did Fantastic!!!! I think it would've added to the the overall experience.

wow
loved every single detail of this book! the author is amazing and creates a perfect (dystopian) world full of werewolves, witches and zombies. this story takes you on a journey you don't want to end. she expands on characters she introduced in her previous serious, but you don't need to read that first to follow this story. the narrator is fantastic, giving voices to each character making each one come alive!

Different, but not really in a good way
It's not that this is a bad book, it's just some things are very off-putting and take you out of the story. The story isn't your typical alpha mate rejects the omega as you might expect. In fact, pretty much every male in the story is an alpha and I mean like hundreds.
The author pretty much just uses the term interchangeably with a wolf shifter. It's like she hasn't read many wolf shifter romances before and just threw in what she thought she might have heard before.
There are also witches and zombies and some Romanian lore at the store where you find yourself stopping to go, is this about vampires or ...
I don't know, it's not that it's a bad story. It's just different and not really in a good way that sets it apart from other books like it in the genre.

Great opening to the story
I received a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
Trigger Warnings - parent death/parent abandonment, mixed parentage discrimination.
There is a lot going on in this book. This is an Omegaverse with Alphas, Betas and Omegas. These individuals are also wolf shifter packs, there are also witches and it has a post apocalyptic feel with a wild landscape infested with zombies. Our heroine is a half witch half wolf shifter who has never learned how to use her powers and has been taught to hide her witch half. She is rejected by her fated mate. She and her sisters become separated and in her efforts to reunite with them she makes a deal to team up with 4 Viking alpha wolf shifters who are huge and intimidating but secretly all a little broken inside. Something I always love seeing emotional vulnerability in a physically invincible man. There is an uncommon attraction between her and the 4 and adventure ensues as they go on a quest through a poisonous forrest to locate the storied coven of witches that reside within.
This story kept me captivated and guessing the whole time. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It does end on a cliff hanger so I’m impatiently awaiting the next installment now. I really enjoyed the narration. Superb job. Good sound quality. 5/5
