Summary
When life with Jayni's violent-tempered father becomes too frightening to cope with, Jayni, her mum and her little brother Kenny are forced to escape in the middle of the night. Slipping out of the house unseen, travelling up to London by train and checking into a hotel – it's almost like playing an elaborate game. They even make up false identities to protect their secret, and Jayni becomes the glamorous-sounding Lola Rose. But when money runs out and reality bites, what will they do next?

great story!
we loved it the first time I listened to it I couldn't stop! I just had to get to the end of the story. it was so gripping and I was hanging on it's every word. once I'd finished it, my mum wanted to listen to it too! she loved just the same as me! so it's definitely for adults to. although not to young as there was some violence but if you listen all the way to the end you think(well I did)that Jay the dad is going to literally kill Victoria who is his wife! until wonderful aunty Barbara shows him....
sometimes I couldn't believe how silly Victoria could be!! and how she just forgave Jay! just like that after he consistently hits and kicks her! after all that is why Victoria and the kids ran away! so all to gether it's a great story!!!🤣😃😎😁😉I recommend it!

•100% Listen to this! Best audiobook!*
I’m already a definite JW fan! Her books are just so thrilling! But this has to be one of my favorites! I was so scared for poor Lola Rose when Victoria gets ill. I was so scared for them! 🚑 Harpreet is the absolute best. not so keen on her mum though..I have listened to this again and again. Thank you so much audible for this audiobook! 100% listen to this. no complaints :)

AMAZING ( best book ever )
i loved this book from the first chapter to the last! it is definitely one of my favourites and i will definitely listen to it again.
i would recommend this book for 10+ as there is some rude content and some sad bits and violence too.
my favourite character is auntie babra because she was so nice and kind and friendly!
i think the narrator was really good and her voices were spot on.
over all i really recommend this book!!!!!!!!!!! if you haven’t already, download it now!

Love it!!
My fav character is auntie Barbara she’s so sweet and kind, she’s very calm and understanding. This is actually the second time I’m listening to this audio lol!! It’s awesome!! Definitely for older listens probably 10 and over because there’s a bit of violence though over all an amazing book/audio book.

Lola Rose review
I think that the story is very good, just maybe Jacqueline Wilson shouldn't write about cancer, even though it makes the plot more real. I don't think writing about dying will really be best for children, it might scare them. Otherwise amazing story!
