The benefits of exercise for example have more than just benefits of looking better physically, it is also important for our mental health - not even all adults are aware of this benefit. Similarly, tips for eating healthy maintain good physical health as well as improving mental well-being. One section is particularity important in today's modern atmosphere that books for teens written in the past may not cover. The digital world is a CONSTANT influence on most young adults, and the consequences can be truly appalling. Crucial for the Health of Growing Teens

If you have teens, you need this book! It is perfect for my 14 year-old step-daughter. There are a lot of skills we teach our kids, but well-being and health are not usually covered as thoroughly as they should be. I love the chapter titled "Relationship Rules" because this is the age that they are really developing relationships on their own and friends are becoming the most important thing in their lives. I believe strongly in self-care as a foundation for the quality of your life and learning this at a young age is so helpful. I definitely recommend this book for anyone who has a teen or young adult in their life!

Educative

Most parents like me, whose kids are gradually becoming adults and will need to be independent soon, certainly have thought about their teens and how to transfer knowledge and life skills that would help the, be successful in life.. This is where this book comes in handy. it covers a large range and variety of lessons and skills needed by teens and young adults, such as managing money and setting and achieving objectives. These lessons in the book are rarely taught in schools.
Teens will also learn how to spot when you're under too much stress and how to deal with it.

​The book's narration was excellent, and the voice was pleasing to the ear so you would want to continue listening. The content, as discussed above, was good enough.

Much needed book for teens and many adults

This book is the perfect high school graduation gift. From setting healthy boundaries and eating healthy to proper time management and sleep this book covers many things teens and young adults are not being taught. This guide gives practical, easy to understand and follow advice and should be required reading in highschool.

Useful book

Such a useful book for young adults. It can be such a hard transition when you have to find your own way in life. The book covers everything you need to know from how to take care of your diet to how to maintain relationships. I found the part on stress management invaluable - there are so many stresses in life nowadays it is good to have strategies for dealing with them

Solid Info for teens!

The book covers a variety of skills every adult needs to know. A lot of the skills are not taught in school and some homes lack it as well. This book focuses in on health care from standard self/emotional care to diet and exercise. There is even a good segment about stress and positive ways to deal with that.

Essential for every teenager

It's not easy being a teenager in this day and age and entering the unknown of adulthood. I remember myself in this situation, but it's even more difficult for modern teens. I wish I had such a great resource many years ago in my own life! Luckily for teens, they have the "Life Skills for Teens and Young Adults" book! It navigates through the complexities of starting adulthood with great advice on self-care, relationships, stress, and so much more. It's very helpful to parents to listen to so that they can be involved on a better level and speak the same language with their kids. As a parent, I know how stressful this time is for both parties. I highly recommend this audiobook, both the content and the narration are top quality.

Great resource!

I think this is a great book for not only teens and young adults but also parents. The journal prompts at end of each chapter are both a great way to develop more self awareness but also useful for parents to use as conversation starters with their older kids. I also love the stories about kids changing the world in great and impactful ways- very inspiring!

So Encouraging and Full of Useful Tips

Communication, growing self-confidence, maximizing motivation, caring for one's mental and physical health, and many other vital life skills are all demonstrated in great detail in this audiobook. This audiobook was a joy to listen to since it was so encouraging and full of useful tips.
I really appreciate and I think it's incredibly helpful that the author discusses how to spot signs that stress is becoming overwhelming and provides advice on how to deal with it. I also appreciate that she discusses about "getting your ZZZZZs", because teens including myself often fail to grasp the significance of getting enough rest, therefore the reminders provided in Chapter 4 are quite helpful.
Teens' lives can be challenging, perplexing, and frustrating if we lack appropriate limits and direction, but this audiobook is packed with actionable advice that any teen can put into practice immediately to improve our attitude and outlook on life.
Overall, I would strongly recommend this book because it is wonderful not only for teenagers and young people but also for older individuals. In addition to that, the narrator's voice is so relaxing that I stayed to listen until the very end.

Solid advice for adolents

Gave this as a gift for a friend with a son who is 15, and trying to figure out how to navigate early adulthood. Along with solid strategies for coping with stress, peer pressure, and societal expectations, the book does a good job explaining the value of journaling, while providing useful prompts to follow and write. Would recommend for anyone with teens/young adults for guidance or wisdom at their current stage of of development.

What a great read!

So thankful to have found this book. I have twins who are quickly approaching their teenage years, and there are so many gold nuggets in this book. I really appreciate that the author touches on how to recognize when stress is abounding, and offers tips to combat stress. Teenagers forget how important sleep is, so I appreciate the reminders in that chapter and it's important for them to hear this outside of their mom telling them. A fantastic resource!
