Summary
Midlife is supposed to be messy, but this is a full-on catastrophic crisis.
Just when I thought life might be getting back to normal—normal being a relative word—I couldn’t have been more wrong.
Marriage proposal from the Grim Reaper? Yes.
Beautiful healthy baby? Yes.
Friends and family safe? Yes.
Ghost of my worst enemy sitting on my front porch? OMG. Yep.
With the ghostly world imploding around me, I’m going to need more than superglue to repair it.
Question? Am I willing to do what has to be done?
Answer? I’m about to find out.
To say forty has been an eventful year is an understatement.
On the contrary, it’s turning out to be a seriously hard-knock midlife.

Suffered from bad editing
The horseman is pestilence, not conquest. The ghost known as "Birdie" was Ethel the hooker, not Sister Catherine. A note from the performer was left in.

Stringing it out
Stringing it out too much now. Losing interest fast. Sometimes you just need to know when to end a series

Fantastic
I absolutely love these books they make my ribs hurt with laughing and then the serious part. I love all the characters and the guest ones. The 4 spectres of the apocalypse awesome made me chuckle so much. Keep these books coming. I will never get tired of listening to these. Narrator, thank you so much. Your knowledge of these characters is excellent. You bring them to life along with the storyline perfectly.

Mid-Life Rules
It is hard to find the words to explain how I’ve fallen in love with the characters within these books. This includes the secondary characters introduced in each of the novels.
I find so many parts of myself within the characters and the relationships between them. I so enjoy the use of “southern courtesy rules” and the breaking of them …. Even the use of crass, gross, profanity is accomplished with such gentility and humor.
I have so appreciated this series. The author has raised so many thought provoking ideas and life questions and arrive at answers so similar to the my own.

Too Long Between Books
I loved the early books. The later books were ok. I hope the next book is the end. Cliffhanger endings are fun sometimes, but when all books end in with an unending storyline, it's too much.
I'm invested in this series now, so I'll get the next book.
I recommend Not starting this series until it's complete.

Characters with Sass
I love the series so far. The characters are a riot. This book had me laughing out loud. The things the characters say cracks me. The storyline is good. there are moments of course where I think Candy would say "Get to the ever-loving point" but overall very enjoyable.

I’m stuck
So I started this series awhile ago but I’m a bit disappointed with this one. I mean the next story could totally gone along with this one and now I have to get it to know how it ends. I seriously hope that it ends.

Editing issues, but still a fun story
As others have mentioned, there are some editing issues. It's still a fun story, but this one didn't live up to the production value of the other books. Mixing up Birdie and Katherine, dropped/missing words, and the accidental inclusion of a voice note for the editor were quite disappointing. I could also do without so much catch phrasing and repetition. However, like the other books, the continuing growth of friendship, belief in compassion, and the introduction of new characters and new problems were high points that will keep me coming back. If you have enjoyed the series and characters so far, this story will not disappoint you.

Loving series - editing error chapter 7
I’m loving this series!!! It’s so fun and the narrator is really amazing.
I’m in the middle of book 8 and there’s an editing error. An edit note was kept in instead of it actually being edited in the audio. End of Chapter 7 I believe. The drag name Helena Handbasket. The full audio edit note is in there. Just thought the editor might want to know.
