Summary
Before It Ends with Us, it started with Atlas. Colleen Hoover tells fan favourite Atlas’s side of the story and shares what comes next in this long-anticipated sequel to the #1 Sunday Times bestseller It Ends with Us.
Lily and her ex-husband, Ryle, have just settled into a civil co-parenting rhythm when she suddenly bumps into her first love, Atlas, again. After nearly two years separated, she is elated that for once, time is on their side, and she immediately says yes when Atlas asks her on a date.
But her excitement is quickly hampered by the knowledge that, though they are no longer married, Ryle is still very much a part of her life—and Atlas Corrigan is the one man he will hate being in his ex-wife and daughter’s life.
Switching between the perspectives of Lily and Atlas, It Starts with Us picks up right where the epilogue for the bestselling phenomenon It Ends with Us left off. Revealing more about Atlas’s past and following Lily as she embraces a second chance at true love while navigating a jealous ex-husband, it proves that “no one delivers an emotional read like Colleen Hoover” (Anna Todd, bestselling author).

A wonderful ending I wish I could get more.
Wow these are the most emotional, amazing, heart warming books. I didn't want it to end. Atlas and Lilly forever.

Did not disappoint
If you've read "it ends with us" this is a must read, continuing the life of lily bloom following her divorce from Ryle and birth of her daughter Emmerson.

Beautiful … sigh
I loved this book. I have listened to it one day and will undoubtedly listen to it again. Yes everything is neatly wrapped up, but it needed to be - Lily and Atlas deserved this book! 100% recommend!

The perfect sequal
I was apprehensive the second book would not live up to the standard of the first. Pointless worry. The perfect conclusion. Colleen did justice to not only the characters, but to the real people who live these experiences. Colleen set an example and encouragement that anyone can break the cycle, without ignoring Lily's privileged position. There is always hope.

Predictable
It was lovely for Colleen to write an ending for all of us, especially one that we all wanted. But I do think it was quite predictable and not exactly ‘needed’.

Cover Uo
I honestly feel that CoHo wrote this book to partly cover her tracks for backlash received for the first installment "It Ends with Us". Lily is afraid of Ryle and yet continues to allow herself to be alone with him, only after yet another violent altercation does she start to set limits and record the happenings. It felt lile an afterthought. This was always meant to be a love story and the abuse factor was just the selling point. Would absolutely rate it lower If I could.

Disappointing
After all the hype of the book I was disappointed. The overall storyline was underdeveloped and not much actually happened. Wouldn’t it be great if I could get my money back for all the steamy long drawn out sex scenes that I fast forwarded through and the many times that the characters thought about how much they loved each other. It lacked substance and then the ending had me waiting for something to happen. I think this book should rather be defined as a read for teens.

A miss for me
Normally I love her books, I loved it ends with us so I had high hopes for this one. Unfortunately it didn’t meet my expectations. I found it too predictable, everything was just to perfect in working out and it was borderline porn. I would have liked a bit more depth, I dunno…

I LOVE Everything about this
I love everything about this book!! I love the way Colleen Hoover writes and how she doesn’t dwell on things or drag them out unnecessarily. She has developed so many amazing characters that are so easy to love.
