About this listen

The path from retail middle management to inter-dimensional wizard adventurer wasn’t easy.

But Jason Asano is settling into his new life. Now, a contest draws young elites to the city of Greenstone to compete for a grand prize. Jason must gather a band of companions if he is to stand a chance against the best the world has to offer.

While the young adventurers are caught up in competition, the city leaders deal with revelations of betrayal as a vast and terrible enemy is revealed. Although Jason seems uninvolved, he has unknowingly crossed the enemy’s path before. Friends and foes made along the way will lead him to cross it again. Inevitable conflict looms....

Great book

And as always excellent narration by Heath Miller only problem is that I have to wait another 3 months for the next one

I still give this book a solid score.

this book has a few more problems or kinks more like it than the first one. For starters there are several conversations I feel like I have heard over and over again. Not that they are all bad but when one off the plot conversations are repeatedly repeated it just gets annoying. Other than that I feel like this book was a bit more obvious in its direction and lacked a bit.

Would still recommend it though. but with a fair warning of it being a pebble worse than the first one.

good but simple and forced at points

the relationship developing between jason and his indentured servant is really forced from book 1 its been obvious tgis was going to happen, but the world seems to be the one forcing them together neither of them have even shown much intrest in each other at this point but its super obvious thats the direction its going.

other than that theres no standout problems but theres nothing to really rave about there were funny parts and jason is likable but nothing that sticks in my memory

Picked up the next before finishing.

This book has been fantastic. I've desperately enjoyed the progression and actively got excited when the main character overcame obstacles.

A few moments that felt a little flat, but nothing that detracted for more than a few paragraphs before I was right back in.
