About this listen

A 14-year-old boy vanishes on his way home from school. His frantic mother receives a ransom call: pay or else. It's only hours before the deadline, and the police have no leads.

Enter Timothy Blake, code name Hangman. Blake is a genius, known for solving impossible cases. He's also a psychopath with a dark secret and the FBI's last resort.

But this time Blake might have met his match. The kidnapper is more cunning and ruthless than anyone he's faced before. And Blake has been assigned a new partner, a woman linked to the past he's so desperate to forget. Timothy Blake has a secret, one so dark he will do anything to keep it hidden. And he also has a price. Every time he saves a life, he takes one....

brilliant

slow to start and the accent was a bit hard to start with but it soon picked up pace and the storyline was gripping and kept me wanting to listen to more

Fab read

At first I felt like I had regretted purchasing this book. I felt like the accent was too strong and I wasn't going to get into it. But I was wrong. I felt like the narrator did a great job with all the characters. The storyline was great from start to finish.

It’s a mystery alright!

Bit of a slow start, great listen for the rest and a very satisfying ending.

Hangman

Brilliant…a bent cop, a cannibal a-woman overlord and a junkies body parts in his fridge…add in a corrupt cob, a wee romance and it’s a fairly descent book. My teeny gripe is some stuff is completely over the top.. for example the escape from the Sellar and the acid in the bath. Plus it was a BOGOF..yippee..
