Summary
Having an affair might not always mean being unfaithful...
Tara loved Colin at first sight. Colin loved Tara at first fight. That’s when they knew they were meant for each other.
But after six years, their marriage has started to crumble. Unable to recapture the spark they once had, it seems it’s all over. Until they meet their 100% match on a controversial new dating app – Fling.
At once heartfelt and hilarious, Fling by Joseph Murray is the story of a fateful – and faithful – affair to remind us all that sometimes, what you’re looking for might just be closer than you think.
Read by Aoife McMahon, narrator of Sally Rooney's Normal People.
Critic reviews
"Set to be the funniest book of 2023, Fling is a lightning-fast romcom full of comic capers, heartfelt moments and completely loveable characters. It's hilarious and original, with a genius concept that is begging for the big screen. One of the best books I've read this year." (Laura Price, author of Single Bald Female)
"Wow. Just wow. The freshest, sexiest, funniest and most poignant book I’ve read in a very long time. I mean that so sincerely. From page one, I was rooting for both Tara and Colin. I defy any reader not to want to stand and cheer at the end." (Bestselling author Claudia Carroll)
"Fabulous! A beautiful rom-com of the Nora Ephron variety." (Edel Coffey)

Awful book
Not worth using a credit for. Boring story, too much graphic sex details. Irritating narration. Not what I expected from the summary.

Not bad
Predictable story, but not a bad light hearted listen. Nothing too serious.
Sometimes cringe characters.

Predictable
Too many puns and a very predictable storyline - almost like a children’s book . Sorry not for me

Laugh Out Loud Funny!
Really didn’t know what to expect from this audiobook and it did take me a couple of chapters to warm up to the characters but it was surprisingly charming and hilarious! Great book to listen to when you’re pottering about.

Awful
Good idea for a story BUT stupid jokes, unrealistic to the point of annoying, and irritating narration. Avoid

Immersive story that everyone can relate to!
Probably the best novel I’ve read to date. The 357 pages were obliterated in less than 2 days. Easy to follow and relate to whilst still very clever and witty. A unique story that everyone will enjoy.
