Summary

A laugh-out-loud love triangle, second chance holiday romance from MILLION-COPY BESTSELLER Portia MacIntosh.

There’s trouble in paradise...

Moving home in her 30s was not the life plan Jas had in mind. So when her best friend gets in touch to say she's arranging a long overdue reunion with their high school friends, Jas is very much up for the escape. Oh, and it's all expenses paid to Italy - so that's a bonus!

But while being whisked away to the beautiful Italian coast may seem idyllic, Jas has to come face to face with not only her ex-boyfriend, but the one that got away too!

It's a week of sun, sea and unravelling secrets, and as the love triangle from the past starts to develop once again, this trip is not panning out exactly as Jas imagines...

Should the past be left where it is, or could there be a second chance at love on the horizon..?

MILLION-COPY BESTSELLER Portia MacIntosh's laugh-out-loud romantic comedies are guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Really enjoyable

Iv read nearly all of Portia’s stories and I liked this one a lot, found the storyline being school friends with a back and forth in timelines engaging. I felt this story had a freshness of not being as predictable of a love story and more about friendship which was really nice. Great narration as always.

Slightly disappointing. Not my favourite storyline

Normally, I love the Portia Macintosh Karen Cass combination. I have to be honest the previous books have all been fabulous whereas this one was ok but left me feeling a bit, meh! for want of a better word.
it wasn't dreadful, just not as good as Portias' previous books.

Different vibe

I adore Portia's stories normally and couldn't wait to hear this one, Karen Cass was fab as usual but I was disappointed that there were no LOL moments as there are normally loads . This story had a totally different vibe and I didn't seem to gel with the characters as much as normal. I'm sure I'll love the next one I listen to and never lose my 💗 for Portia and Karen

Brilliant 4 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I absolutely LOVE Portia Macintosh books, they always make me laugh out loud😂

This was a nice refreshing listen about a group of friends from school and going on holiday as adults, 15 years later from when they last seen each other.
They all slipped straight back to how they acted at school which is fascinating.

I didn't give 5 Star's as there was just a bit missing that I couldn't put my finger on.

My favourite narrator is Karen Cass, she did a great job voicing all the different characters with different dialects.

Aw I really enjoyed this

Ridiculous but so enjoyable. Funny, silly, feel good. Just what I needed. The narration was also easy to listen to. No daft accents.

Not her best work

I think compared to her other books this story was very uninspired. I was waiting for it to get deep and juicy but it stayed surface level.

Not one of Portia’s best

I usually really enjoy Portia Mackintosh’s work, but not so much this one. I felt the storyline was thin, it lost its way in places, the characters were underdeveloped and her humour was not at its best.

An off-the-boil read from one of my usually favourite romcom authors. I’m sure it’s a blip and there will be better to come.

Disappointing

Portia Macintosh’s stories seem to have lost the amazing humour of her earlier books. I found this story a bit boring in places, and rather silly at times and I can’t imagine that I’ll want to bother to listen to it again. A credit wasted.
