About this listen

Kim Cash Tate’s debut novel celebrates the power of female friendship and the never-ceasing faithfulness of God.

Cydney Sanders thought she knew God's plan for her life. She'd marry, have kids, and then snap her body back into shape with exercise. But she's celebrating her 40th birthday as the maid of honor at her little sister's wedding...and still single. Now her life is suddenly complicated by the best man. He's the opposite of what she wants in a husband...and yet, he keeps defying her expectations. Starting with a lavender rose - symbolizing enchantment - each rose he sends her reflects his growing love for her.

Cydney's best friend, Dana, appears to have the perfect marriage - until she discovers her husband's affair and her world goes into a tailspin. Then there is Phyllis, who is out of hope and out of prayers after asking God for six long years to help her husband find faith. When she runs into an old friend who is the Christian man she longs for, she's faced with an overwhelming choice.

Lifelong friends with life-altering struggles. Will they trust God's faithfulness...and find strength to be faithful to him?

an uplifting and inspiring story

Loved loved loved it.
In short, it is an uplifting and inspiring story about God's love, gtace and faithfulness even for all of us in spite of all our shortcomings and mistakes.

It is so nice to read a christian wholesome and clean story of romance and friendship that offers a realistic view of what it is to be a Christian.

Christians are also people like everyone else and they only manage to overcome by leaning on the power, the grace and faithfulness of God.

I love how the book spoke about the struggles of adultery, singleness, backsliding through childhood trauma and even briefly touched on the issue of losing a spouse. It offered a light in the end of the tunnel through forgiveness that does not come without accountability. Also talked about how easily we can slip into any sins (even those we never thought we would commit) if we don't keep our focus on God and if we are not honest with ourselves.
It reminds us that even when we fall, when we ignore God, He is always there, arms opened ready to catch us if and when we decide to go back to Him.

Huge thanks to Kim for such a wonderful and uplifting book.
