Summary
Small-business owner and financial advisor Samiyah Manhattan is mourning the death of her six-year marriage when she vows never to trust men again. Alone at a local bar, Samiyah attempts to put her situation in perspective when she is drawn inexorably to the presence of a nearby patron.
Celebrity ex-boxer and heavyweight champion turned business mogul Jonas Alexander Rose never takes women too seriously. They only attach themselves to him because of his star-studded status. However, when he meets the beautiful Samiyah Manhattan mulling over a mimosa at his favorite bar and grill, Jonas is overwhelmed by the heart-throbbing, heated attraction, and now he is on a mission to explore this thing called love. But can Jonas break the barrier that Samiyah's put up, and is he even ready?
Find out if Jonas and Samiyah are a match made in heaven or if they will miss out on their happily ever after in Safe with Me.

Her books always end with a wedding 😂
I enjoyed the book even though it was predictable. I love how she writes romance. It doesn’t even need the physical intimacy being mentioned because she builds up the romantic connection so well.

Fell For A Rose!!!
Safe with Me was a good book but, it was pretty much a replica of the Valentine Brothers series. Don’t get me wrong. I enjoyed getting to know the Rose men but, they were very reminiscent of the Valentine men. With that being said, I loved the instant chemistry between Samiyah and Jonas. I’m always giving relationships that move that quickly the side eye but, when I thought about it, David had already checked out of their marriage a year or so prior to their divorce. So, in all actuality, their relationship didn’t really move that fast. And, whew chile, Martha Jean was a mess! Ms. Martha is the kind of mama that’ll have you constantly calling on every spiritual being to stop you from cussing out your mama. Samiya was constantly running hot and cold but, BFF Claudia was always there to check her as a good girlfriend should. There were a few inconsistencies that didn’t make sense. I could’ve sworn Samiya was described as being dark skinned but, there’s a light skin chick on the cover?!!! That whole fallout with Amanda just didn’t make sense. How could Jonas see that Stacey was overtly flirting with him but, he was completely oblivious to Amanda flirtations?!!! That scene that played out with Jonas and Amanda in his office had me giving him all kinds of side eye. 😒😒😒 Like, really dude?!!! The author didn’t really explain the relationship between Jonas and Kevin. She never went into any details on their history which, left me with some questions. I felt like the author could have done a better job explaining the connection between Jonas the villain of the book. Aside from these minor inconsistencies, Safe with me was a good read and I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Safe with Me... Hmmm
So I'm not going to lie... I haven't finished the book yet and trust I will. I'm on Chapter 16. I wanted to step away and give a brief review on how it's going so far. Jonas not only has Samiyah's heart he has mines as well. Now you know that I'm a Cynic a little bit and really don't believe in folks falling in love that fast, so I could give a little side eye there. However, I love the way he loves her or better yet is introducing her to love. I LOVE A GOOD ROMANCE NOVEL CHILD. As for Jakobi and Wesleigh they are the perfect pair when it comes to a damn Urban Erotica. They literally bring these characters to life for me every time. My first introduction to them were from Alexandria House's The McClain brothers book series. I have been following them every since, I need more books from them.

Asking for my money back.
I started to think I would be returning this title when the h (AFTER finger and mouth intimacy with the H) wondered if the phone call he took was from his girlfriend or wife. Apparently, that would not be ideal, but she would just consider keeping it physical and leaving her heart out of it. Not my cup of tea. The nail in the coffin, however, was when they finally did "get together" (he did NOT have a girlfriend or wife), the description read "She opened her legs, inviting him to her love boat, where she hid rocky waves and angry seas." Nope.
