Summary

Curvy girls deserve happily ever afters too.

I’m a big girl, “plus-sized”, whatever. I’m sick of hearing about it, especially since my doctor diagnosed me with PCOS. So when mean girl Merritt shot her mouth off about how fat people should just lose weight, I couldn’t take it anymore.

And now I’ve got a huge problem. To prove curvy girls like me can get happily-ever-afters too, I have to get our school’s quarterback, Beckett Langley, to take me to homecoming. And he doesn’t know I even exist.

But it’s not hopeless. Four other girls just like me are willing to help, because enough is enough.

I will not lose this bet.

Curvy Girls Can’t Date Quarterbacks is the first book in the lively Curvy Girl Club YA contemporary romance series. If you like resilient teens, building confidence, and snark for days, then you’ll adore Kelsie Stelting’s sweet story. Get your copy today!

great storytelling, sensetive and real

loved this story.
as someone with PCOS since i was 17 and has never seen it in a story before i can say it was delt with responsibly.
it was also refreshing that the characters dont have a instant 180 in their behaviours when confronted.
off to down load thenext book 😀🤓

Good YA read but terrible narrator

I enjoyed this cute read but the narrator sucks the life out of this book.

Did not appreciate

There was more “questionable “ content than I wanted to subject myself to - so I did not get past first few pages.

Curvy Girls Can't Date Quarterbacks

I don’t even know how I found this book but I am glad I did. I just finished a seriously heavy fantasy book and needed something a little lighter to listen to.

Now though I enjoyed this book and felt a lot of the same things Rory felt being as I too was a curvy girl in high school. This book does hit close to home and brings up emotions I didn’t think still bothered me but they do.

The mother in this book wasn’t my favorite she was very all about health of the body but not of the mind and as she is a health teacher I thought she would have had a mind to that.
The brother was amazing I loved him!

Overall I enjoyed the book and wish there were more in the series on Audible I would snag them right up. As it is I have book 2 read to go.

I also very much liked the narrator.

Sweet Happy Ending

This series has the makings of a super cute fun story with great main characters and supporting characters. Rory's story was sweet and heart breaking at the same time. I'm looking forward to listening to the rest of the series!

So many things wrong

The main character just upsets me because in the end, everything was her fault. She got bullied and somehow she got suspended. Everyone just thought it was normal and it was her fault she got bullied in public. Her mom didn't stand up for her. Her so called friends got jealous of her boyfriend and didn't help her when she needed them the most. and that was her fault too for abandoning them when they chose to ignore her. MC had to apologize to everyone in order for her to be accepted. First I always wonder why in romance books curvy girls biggest problem why the guy don't want them it's because they're fat? Among all issues there could be on earth, it's the weight? I'm disappointed and I'm not sure if I want to read the other books in this series.

The writing and story telling are good but...

I want to start off with the Kelsie Stelting is an excellent writer. This book just devolved for me. Honestly, I thought it was going to be about the internal struggle with weight and love. It was about a horrible parents. I mean no redeeming quality for either of them. Beckett's father who was set up to be the jerk was the least judgmental of the three. Plus the assembly at the end was way too over the top. Her "friends" ditch her after one mistake, which honestly based on how they all acted after missing lunch I thought they all would have been over the moon for her not ice her out. There was so much to explore in terms of weight and intimacy and the struggles that go with it, and it was such a missed opportunity. I think all and all that's how I felt about this book is one big missed opportunity. There's really great moments and because the writing itself was really strong it kept me in it, but the last 1/4 of the book it went from semi-relatable to outlandish. Reading about the girls coming together I wish she wouldn't have broken them apart especially is such a trivial manner. I think had there been more of a struggle for Rory to balance first love and essentially first real friendship that would have been interesting, because that's what happens with first love. Tunnel vision and forgetting about losing sight of your friends. The whole last scene was cringe I mean what kind of YA ending was that. I want love, heat and struggle both internal and external, the components were there just not focused properly.

Definitely a must read (TW: Bullying)

This book was definitely a must read. It is definitely one of those books that you get all the feels. Whether its happy, mad, sad, and/or confused. There was moment when reading this book that i wanted to jump in the book and tell Rory that she was being ridiculous or fight of Merritt or tell Beck that he fell in love WAYYY to quickly (lol). But in all the drama, this was a lovely read. It was heart-warming and it gave a different type of love from the norm that you see nowadays. It also tv-ish scenarios, especially with the popular kids parents and the adults in general which made my eyes roll a little.

I finally feel noticed!

This writer truly has put such feeling and thought into the curvy girl mind. I found her on Book Tok and I am so happy I did!

great story but the narrator....

i love the story, but the narrator is a whole different thing, she completely killed the vibe of the book, the author should really consider finding a new narrator, I'm hoping that she used someone else for the rest of her books 😫
