Summary
When did I become everyone's paranormal Miss Fixit?
When the Lords of the Icelandic Elves summon me to use my talents to find a lost dragon's egg, I find it hard to say no. I've seen what a dragon can do, and a young, just-hatched dragon is a being of pure destruction.
But word of the egg gets out, and the race to find it begins. Mages from many realms are on the hunt - including a dragon - and they don't always play well together. Unless I want to join the casualties, I need to find that egg and return it to where it belongs. Luckily, I have help, but I wish that damned golden-winged Nephilim would keep his shirt on.

Good plot twist
I enjoyed the story but once again marred by poor narrator. Story flow regularly interrupted by atrociously pronounced words and poor understanding of sentence structure. Won't be getting book 3 because of this.

Kellana on the hunt!
I jumped into this second book, eager to see more of Kellana and the very interesting world she survives in. I was not disappointed. Fast paced and entertaining. Loved her vacation with a twist. Nothing like making it a working holiday to spice up ones life. I listened to my copy from Audible and enjoyed the narration.
Rachel Dulude does a great job with the pacing and impact. Her accent flowed very well for me and was the strawberry on my cheesecake. I can't wait to hear more from this narrator. I am going to be jumping right into the next book, though I'm sad it's not available yet on Audio. I must say I was a bit bummed that we didn't get to visit with Isabella and Mearka (the jaguar and Half Elf, not sure of the spelling since I listened only). As well as a few others of the previous book, but it did not diminish this story for me. I enjoyed meeting new characters and seeing new places. Looking forward to what else comes Kellana's way.

Good
I’ll admit I liked the first one better, however, this was still a fun book, this moved away from Washington and new characters introduced including an introduction to some of Kellana’s family. Vacations are so tiresome :). It would have been so much better with Isabel along :)

Not what I expected after the first book
I really enjoyed the first book. I liked the characters and her nursery with all the fairy’s and other creatures. So I was very disappointed when I listened to this book and it was all just a hunt for the egg. There was also several new characters added that made it hard to remember who everyone was. I didn’t connect with any of the characters and only the ending will get me to possibly listen to the next book (I already purchased it when I bought book 2). I almost stopped listening to this book all together a few times. The first book was good and I would listen to it again, but not this book.

I really enjoy this series
The characters are interesting and fun. A complete adventure, sometimes it's too short for me, but I really do enjoy the tale.

Story is pretty good, but narration not so much.
Kelana is a fun character, and the story is enjoyable if a bit shallow and predictable. I don't understand the need for the thick almost incomprehensible Irish accent though. First of all it doesn't really fit with the story. She is from another dimension, not Ireland. If anything she should have a German or American accent. She has lived in the US almost 70 years. It was jarring, and honestly, I ended up reading the Kindle version instead after awhile.
