Story
No one knows what to make of the mysterious clicks. To Ajay Joshi, the amateur astronomer who discovered the sounds with his radio telescope, the clicks represent proof of aliens on Callisto, a moon of Jupiter. To Dr. Kiera Walsh, an aerospace engineer introduced to Ajay and his findings, the consistent, repetitive pattern of the clicks points to the possibility of a lost Martian probe caught in Callisto's orbit. She shares this view with her employer, Augustus Amato, and is surprised to learn he disagrees with her, believing the clicks herald something more ominous orbiting Callisto.

Aliens exist...and, as it turns out, most of them are fairly harmless. It's the humans you need to watch out for. Priya Radcliffe wasn't even born yet when the first set of terrorists struck. She was 17 when they struck again, but this time her parents paid the ultimate price. That was seven years ago, and since then, the United Nations finally agreed to field its first spaceborne military. Serving aboard one of the first true starships had been a dream of hers. All of her years of education and training had been geared for entering the service.

Story
Tanny and Esper may have grown apart, but they've joined forces to overthrow the Rucker Syndicate. Tanny's father has crossed too many lines, and now it's time for new leadership of the galaxy's most expansive criminal enterprise. But to topple a crime lord, they must first take away all the leverage that he might use against them; they need to get their loved ones out of harm's way before they become hostages and bargaining chips. But what if it was already too late?
Summary
This isn't a book with lots of violence, war, or death in it. There's enough of that in real life, and if you're into that kind of thing, then there's plenty of other books out there for you.
This is a story about the stuff that we don't have enough of in real life. Love, tolerance, bravery, and leadership. And it's a story about humanity's first attempt to live in space and how two young women save us all from our own stupidity.
Oh, it also features zero-gravity, interracial, lesbian lovemaking. (Because there isn't enough of that in real life, either.)
