Summary

Earth's protection comes at a price!

Discover the Warlord Brides universe with growly, protective alien warriors who will do anything for their mates. Contains four complete books: Paax, Kalen, Mylomon, and Vox.

Paax:

He never wanted to be matched to a mate.

The situation in his clan was dangerous for a hardened warrior, let alone a soft Human female without fangs or claws to defend herself. Sending her back to Earth was the only way to keep her safe. However, the moment the curvaceous woman stepped off the transporter, his tattoo burned with a passionate intensity he’d never experienced before. Paax knew he would do anything to protect her, to claim her, even challenge the clan’s violent Warlord.

No force in the universe would take his mate from him.

Kalen:

Sent on a mission to backwards Earth, alien physician Kalen never expected to find his destined mate.

Fierce and independent, nurse Meridan was never interested in settling down, with a human or an alien, especially not the arrogant, rude, and devastatingly sexy medic Kalen.

How far will Kalen go to claim the woman he loves when the rules between his planet and hers prevent him from doing just that?

Mylomon:

He’s an abomination.

The lone survivor of a horrific experiment, warrior Mylomon was left with unique and dangerous abilities. He takes care of the necessary dirty work for his clan but he’s yet to earn their trust. After all, how can you trust an assassin?

Now that he’s found his fated mate, his miracle, she recoils at the sight of him. Daisy is every good and sweet thing in the universe and he will not let her go. How can he convince her that he’s not the monster he appears to be?

Vox:

He had dreamed of a mate for years.

He studied Earth cultural and courtship rituals. He even learned to eat strange Earth food, waiting for the day his mate arrived.

From the moment the curvy human woman stepped onto his ship, he knew she was everything he’d craved.

Mr Moviephone reads alien sex scenes

I wanted to like this. I really did. There were several parts where I knew I should give up (including but not limited to a romantic lead advocating to murder a child followed almost immediately by the couple rage banging.... because he wants to murder a literal child... and she still... anyway)

The books are written 3rd person dual POV but have one narrator. I didn't think this would be too big a deal but the narrator just uses the "In a world...." trailer voice for everything except the lead FMC dialogue. It gets old really fast. Particularly with the sexy scenes.

Of the four included in the bundle the first was serviceable. The second was too long and had I been allowed to return the audiobook I would have at book two. Pushed through book three was okay and book four was by far the best but by then the narrator even at 1.75 speed was too slow for me.

I wanted a long alien Romance to listen to during a long car ride and it was okay but had I not been trapped in car and disallowed from returning it I would have stopped at the planned child murder.

Love the story and narrator

My only complaint is when the narrator does a female's voice, he sounds like a whining child. He has a great male voice (obviously), but all I can picture is the women stomping their feet and whining when he reads their lines.

Just couldn't get in to it

The performance was fine. The audio had some glitches. I just couldn't get into the story.

Returned- boring and awkward

Boring- alien romance- you want a new world, interesting dynamics between the couple- instead it was super boring, like looking in on you’re boring vanilla neighbor’s relationship. Nothing new or alien. It was like a boring not-sci-fi novella.

Awkward- the narration is so weird. Like it really takes you out of it. The narrator is like announcing everything. Like it’s the tone of voice a sports announcer uses… but like all the time.

I returned it before anyone even climaxed…. So I can describe it as anti-climatic?

Loved this collection...Sweet

This box set was well worth the credit. Strong female leads, stronger alpha male heros, with a great supporting cast. The female leads can be a little annoying at times, but overall good story telling. I just wish there was a little more to each book. Listen and enjoy.

I had no idea what to expect but omg this set was amazing!!

This was so incredibly entertaining. The characters were precious. I did not expect the characters to be this endearing. The stories were so good! I am sad there is no box set volume 2!!! I have zero interest in sci-fi. I honestly mistakenly used my credit for this set. It is the best mistake I have made with Amazon! lol seriously do not be put off by the alien thing. I was shocked at how much fun it was to listen!!!

Narrator does sound like Mr. Movie Phone...

I'm still working on this set of stories. Actually had to leave for another fantasy adventure romance to clean my pallet. I do plan on finishing it but I'm not in a rush.

I really do think the narrator is killing this story. He sounds like Mr. Movie Phone. Very robotic. I've really enjoyed Mason Lloyd or Aaron Shedlock in other series. Ya'll need to re-record these with someone better like them.

Love this series and can’t wait for more!

This series is awesome. I love the concept of a dominant male who can also be rational and willing to compromise. Definitely recommend it for those who love xeno romance novels

Pretty bad, even for its genre. No personality

Now, I expect this genre of book to be kinda cheesy, and I’ve read a lot of similar books, but I really just didn’t like most things about it. I will just summarize a few things I disliked from the first book

The girl left her sick mom to go marry this alien. Hot idea, love the idea. But she showed little to no resistance, and I know money was a factor, but it’s just silly. As soon as she saw him, neither of them try to fight the biological draw that brought them together, which is also unrealistic and boring. I wanted to see her mentally and emotionally dealing with being in this new situation, but we got none of that. There is very little personality or actual characterization for even the main characters, all very basic character builds that are boring and don’t make you feel connected to them as you’re reading. They explain the biological mate thing, but the idea of anyone who just doesn’t question or fight their “instant love” when it took them away from all they know in their life is laughable. There is no actual basis for their love. They don’t actually grow together or learn about each other or really have any personality traits other than being willing to do anything for their new love.

Maybe others will enjoy it, but I wish I could return it and get my credit back. Boring waste of my time. Wish I’d read the other reviews of this book first.
