About this listen
After months of mental and physical therapy, Yvonne Giles, an Oxford detective, is back at work and that's just how she likes it. So when she's asked to hunt the serial killer responsible for taking apart young women, the DI jumps at the chance but hides the fact she is suffering debilitating flashbacks.
She is told to work with Tasha Phillips, an in-her-face, criminal psychologist. The DI is not enamoured with the idea. Tasha has a lot to prove. Yvonne has a lot to get over. A tentative link with a 20-year-old cold case brings them closer to the truth but events then take a horrifyingly personal turn.
This is the first book in a series of psychological serial killer thriller stories, following Detective Yvonne Giles as she hunts some of the most evil serial killers today.

Good story but
The story is good but the narrator was awful, she made an evil, sadistic murder thriller sound like a Jane Austen novel! I persevered but it wasn’t easy. I would advise reading rather than listening.

Death Master by Anna-Mari Morgan
Excellent story, and nice and gory, a real good British thriller with a beginning, middle and a super ending. Not quite my cup of tea, because it contains internet chat paragraphs which were essential to the story. Then, I am one of the silver surfers and it’s bad enough when we are forced to do chats on the net, because our UK high streets are no longer adequate.
A great book, and apart from that I would recommend it.

A good few twists & turns
The story was pretty good but I found the reader irritating & lacking any dramatic tone.

good story but not so good a narrative... too soft and sweet to narrate a book such as this
the narrator took softly spoken all characters sound the same.. very weak.. I'll persevere a bit longer but don't think I'll finish it

A hard listen
I really struggled to finish this one...not very good. The storyline was inconsistent and the narrator was not effective in getting the story across. Disappointed
