Summary

Ride with the Horsemen of the Apocalypse as they seek to unearth a plot that could plunge all of Creation into chaos!

Ages before the events of Darksiders and Darksiders II, two of the feared Horsemen - Death and War - are tasked with stopping a group of renegades from locating the Abomination Vault: a hoard containing weapons of ultimate power and malice, capable of bringing an end to the uneasy truce between Heaven and Hell ... but only by unleashing total destruction.

Created in close collaboration with the Darksiders II teams at Vigil and THQ, Darksiders: The Abomination Vault gives an exciting look at the history and world of the Horsemen, shining a new light on the unbreakable bond between War and Death.

Love Darksiders lore?Awesome!Listen and Immerse.💀

Its pure darksiders, through n through. Great voice work , wished there was a little more backgound audio for diffrent locations. I enjoyed the deep effort to expand the Lore and Characters that connect with the games, especially in such a different time and era. ✌🏾

Can't express how impressed I am

First I want to say that Bob did amazing job narrating his book.
The story gives much needed insight to the background of the characters, the overall story and universe. Characters are described richly, even in the slightest movements, and in the same way that they appear in the games (the ones that are there), which made the audiobook very easy to get myself totally absorbed in. Though itself has very little related to the games' story - which is absolutely not a bad thing, as it gives a different kind of angle to the universe.

Great little story and well performed

I felt the book was enjoyable and the narrator was engaging and clear. Whilst it doesn't add nor change much in the ways of Darksiders lore it is a solid and well told story, if a little predictable. The narrator made it in my opinion as even early into the book I could tell who was speaking just by the voices the narrator gave the cast of characters. Would thoroughly recommend to Darksiders fans.

excellent prequel world building

This is an excellent prequel to the games series and a great jump.inn point for people new to the franchaise, story and characters are all fleshed out and the world rich with lore.

narator has a slightly annoying pause and flow while reading but that's a minor niggle.

Fantastic

This franchise is dear to me, and i’d already read the book several years ago but listening to this version and a Bob Walter’s narration truly brought it to life. It’s wonderfully gripping, and a brilliant edition to a truly fascinating franchise.

DARKSIDERS THE ABOMINATION VAULT

For story that takes place before both of the games it is amazing they nail all the right characters and use in game mechanics in such a unique way. If you played any of the games like me WAR and DEATH characters are perfect there will be moments where you will laugh, cry or yell out hell yeah in this story.

SPOILER WARNING

Some of my favourite moments are WAR storming the white City DEATH realising what did to WAR and the ending.

The Narrator was amazing nailing DEATH and WAR voices perfectly best to listen to this is in chunks I say

Love darksiders

This is a great book to help you delve deeper into the background of Death from the horsemen. Provides a great story and the narration feels in line with the games overall demeanour.

Great listen and would recommend to any darksiders fan

Sweet, Sweet Death

A nice story filled with Lore from the amazing world of Darksiders. The actions and portrait of the characters closely matches the ones crafted within the games. Especially Death. War seems a tin bit out of character at times but could very well be chucked up to him acting more on edge during the events of Darksiders I. The story is compelling, seems to be weighty enough to matter towards the rest of the series and, moreover, polishes the bond between War and Death that is explored in Darksiders II. The voice actor does an amazing job at contouring the characters in their brightest colours. Would most definitely recommend.
