Dark, Dirty and Deadly!
I loved Nico and Ava's dangerously dark mafia story. It held me captive and on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. It was full of murder, revenge, betrayal, secrets and lies. It takes you on an emotional rollercoaster with lots of twists and turns that will leave you guessing until the end. Sarah Puckett and Tor Thom both did an excellent job bringing this story to life.

Fabulous
I can’t believe I’ve had this so long and forgot about it . It was amazing but then everything Cora writes is , love Nico and Ava and glad they got their HEA.

Such a strong leading lady
I love it with the leading lady is so strong in these books. Not only is she strong she’s determined which is a lethal combination. A fantastic storyline with great characters. Have wonderful performance from both Sarah and Tor.

Love Kenborn's books!
Cora Kenborn is an author I gravitate too. Just dark enough, I love her writing style and stories. This first book in the Les Cavaliers de l'ombre series is just the kind of story I can sink my teeth into. Ava is the daughter of a mafia king. She works in a strip club due to her father's controlling. Little does she know someone is coming for her. Niko hasn't seen Ava for years, but his feelings have not diminished. He is still carrying a torch, but her deception still leaves him raw and angry. This job is going to be easier than he thought. Until he sees her. Now decisions have to be made, trust has to be built and a love has be rekindled. But nothing is ever that easy. Twists, turns, frustration and times when I just didn't know who to trust had me completely captivated in this book. Ava is resourceful, smart and passionate. Niko is strong, determined and vulnerable. Both need each other, both hate each other, both love each other. The perfect storm. I can't wait for the next installment.
Sarah Puckett and Tor Thom bring this gem to life. Puckett is so versatile and I love when she narrates dark stories. She creates amazing characters and as Ava, she has the most incredibly strong, vulnerable sound. Alpha, dark and dangerous, Thom drew from the heart when he made Niko. He gives him that overpowering male tone yet when needed is soft and tender. Loved this narration team and the story!

My Thoughts on Darkest Deeds
This is the kind of dark romance that I just can’t get enough of. It’s messed up and twisted on so many levels, but it’s also got so many things I loved. Both main characters were broken and surrounded by darkness, and yet found each other to give them a bright spot. And they sure went through a lot to get their HEA. And I mean a lot. Not just time, but trials and tribulations. This book took second chance romance to a whole new level. I mean this is definitely the first story I’ve experienced where one of the exes is an assassin. But pacing, plot, cool tie-in to a previous series I’d read by this author. All of it was a part of the whole fantastic book.
The narration was the cherry on top. I love Sarah Puckett and I love Tor Thom. The two together was like a chef’s kiss of narration. I would love to hear them on more books together in future.

Ohhh I love Cora Kenborn books.
This is just the right amount of intrigue, sensuality and darkness that captivates me with Mafia Romances.
Nico and Ava have a past that has left both in shatters but that was 8 long years ago and a lot has happened for each of them.
Ava may be the daughter of one of the kingpins of the Bratva in a business her father owns but it’s far from a respected job. She is treated no different than the other girls who have sold their souls to the Bratva. She’s been forced into stripping and more. When Nico enters her life again it’s not without trepidation.
These two still have an unbreakable attraction to one another. Yet they are weary and distrustful of one another.
This is such an exciting and thrilling story and it’s full of emotions that compel the story forward. Full of devious acts and murder that are everything that evolves in a great Bratva story. Yet this is so much more with the push and pull of the relationship between Ava and Nico.
Sarah Puckett is just the person to portray Ava. And her voices for the men characters are so believable too. Her acting has a way of pulling me into the book and holds me connected with the characters.
Tor Thom has such a deep cadence that matches any Alpha he plays. It’s a delicious rasp that makes me wish to be the heroine in his stories.
This book was amazing. And I loved that these two broken souls find each other again.
This book is a standalone in a collaboration (Cavalieri Della Morte) from 13 authors in an interconnected world. Oh my sounds like one needs to check into the other books too!

Dark Enemies-To-Lovers Russian Mafia Romance
Darkest Deeds by Cora Kenborn is a enemies-to-lovers Russian mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Sarah Puckett and Tor Thom. This is the first book in the Les Cavaliers de l'ombre series and can be read as a standalone.
I absolutely love Cora's books! I was hooked from the very beginning, and I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved the push and pull between Niko and Ava. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I can't wait for the next book in the series Scarlet Mark to be released on audio so I can get Killian "Dagger" and Amara "Scarlet" story.
Sarah and Tor did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like dark romances, mafia romances, enemies-to-lovers romance, or romantic suspense.

Ava and Niko!
Niko was a man who brought into the Bratva at a young age and has created quite the reputation as an assassin. He is surprised to find out that his next target is the daughter of a powerful boss who was not only his first love but the woman who betrayed him and left to endure the consequences. He will complete his mission but first he will make sure she suffers as well.
Ava finds herself in a difficult situation and faced with two choices however neither of them are good. She never expected to have Niko back in her life and especially not for this reason. She has been underestimated her entire however she is about to show that she is much stronger and smarter than anyone believes.
The chemistry between Niko and Ava is off the charts, the suspense keeps you on edge and the twists keep coming as secrets from the past are revealed and Niko and Ava find themselves in the fight of their lives. The narrators were a great choice for the characters and the story which keeps you invested from beginning to end. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession

Intense, Action-Packed, SO GOOD!!!
Darkest Deeds does indeed live up to its title. From beginning to end, I was invested in this dark, twisted, intriguing tale of manipulation and revenge. NIko and Ava have a shared past with a lot of history. They now find themselves on opposing sides yet again it seems, at least in Niko's mind....though things are not always as it seems.
Ava is a Bratva princess, though she has never been treated as such. Her life is now in danger, but trusting the wrong person might get her killed. Niko is a hired killer and she is his next target. This book is full of so many twists and turns and hidden agendas, I loved every moment.
I enjoyed both Ava and Niko as the main characters and there were a couple of interesting secondary characters as well. Ava is fierce, strong and did whatever she needed to in order to survive and she did it like a boss.
The audiobook of this book was truly fantastic. Sarah Puckett and Tor Thom did a phenomenal job bringing forth all of the emotions of the story to life and did an amazing job with the language/accents as well. I have read/listened to several of this author's books and she never disappoints. #PinkFlamingoProductions #TheFlock

Captivating, Suspenseful, and full of action!
Darkest Deeds by Cora Kenborn was a great audiobook listen! It was captivating from the start and kept me on my toes throughout. Told in Dual POV -both in the past and present day.
Darkest Deeds was full of action/suspense and so many twists and turns along the way. There is an unraveling of secrets, lies, murder, and manipulation of both main characters, a shady FBI officer, and Ava's Dad the head guy of a mafia-like family/business. Ava was a super strong and feisty heroine who amazed me at every turn. While I did enjoy Nicko's character - Ava really stole the show for me!
Excellent writing as always with books by Cora Kenborn and the narration was fantastic.
