The story was excellent ... generally well researched, and well told - it held me (there were a couple of scarcely credible occurrences but OK, this is romance!) But the narrator mispronounced literally dozens of words. Audible does not have adequate quality control.

The story would have been so much more enjoyable with a decent narrator. Cornish names were mispronounced as were a number of words. Accents were hit and miss. The story was enjoyable.

I enjoyed the characters and story. Unfortunately the narrator’s poor pronunciation of places, names and halting shortening sentences. Especially when a conversation between characters, spoils the punchlines in comedic situations, annoyed me greatly . I must say that her varied characters voices were good.
This is a problem with American Narrators reading British stories.
It brings a promising book down to an annoying read.
