About this listen

With great corruption comes great power.

Jack is pretty sure that's the way the saying goes. It's a good thing, too, for the war in Ter’nodril, which he’d hoped would spell the beginning of the end for the DIR, instead left him corrupted, body and soul. The good news is that the Fallen used the Blight that now fills his veins as a weapon in their war against the gods themselves. He’s sure that he can find a way to use it, too, to destroy Valia Online once and for all. He even knows exactly who he'll test its power against first: Manhart.

He must find an answer a question he’s wanted to ask since they first met: What sound will the lich make when he’s dying?

Firstly, spectacular narration as always; Jeff, it was as usual, masterful.

When you're in the LITRPG genre and you don't have a game that the character can escape from, you obviously need a story for outside the game. Quite a few series fall short on that point, but this one doesn't, it is just as string outside as it is in-game. Quite excellent.

This series is getting better and better, can't wait for the next one.

The best at what it does,

Another great performance by Jeff, enjoyed the book though sceptical about its ending... best get book 4 done ASAP so I can decide if I want to feel outraged or not :-)

Not a book to be missed by any online game player ;-)

A great continuation of the story, I thoroughly enjoyed this book the narrator did a amazing job of bringing the characters to life. I like many others, have a bit of a issue with the ending. I will be interested to see where the author takes the story next. I will continue with the next book.

Great story

No spoilers.
Performance is excellent, consistency in character voices, great range of emotion.
The story is a massive risk. I felt cheated, I felt like it was a total waste of time and as if the author gambled and failed…. However, a fourth book could save it.
If I only had one credit a month, I wouldn’t use it on this.

So Very Mixed
