Summary
Max was a professional soldier, and extremely good at his job. Right up until it killed him.
At the moment of his death, he meets Hildi the Valkyrie, and is given three options. Serve Odin in Valhalla as one of the Einherjar, fighting each day and celebrating each night until the battle of Ragnarok. Accept his death as final, and end his existence. Or be reincarnated as a Battleborne on a random unknown world.
Max chooses to gamble! To live a new life, whatever that might entail. Favored with a blessing of the Valkyries, who gift him with an unusual bloodline, he is reborn on a world of magic and monsters. In fact, his own new body is half monster!
Thrust into the world with nothing but a canvas diaper, sharp teeth, and claws, Max must use his skills as a soldier to improvise and survive. There are no respawns, and at level zero, nearly everything can kill him.
With his new status as one of the Battleborne, much is expected of Max. Dangerous and difficult quests are presented to him, and the loot ranges from filthy goblin loincloths to epic weapons!
Join Max as he learns to navigate his new life, struggling with the instincts of his monster bloodlines, and taking advantage of them at the same time.

it's one of those books!!
amazing! found it hard to stop listening just couldn't get enough, its fast paced and and full of emotion all round a very good book and I will be look forward to the next one!

Good litrpg book.
Pretty good story with interesting plot. Good narration. Its fun and fast. Has action, magic and some romance. Would like a bit more character developement and integrations between them and a bit less kingdom building.

Great Litrpg story, reminded me of The Ten Realms, another great Audible series, I've enjoyed this first book and enjoyed the character progression and story line. I'm looking forward to hearing the next instalment of this Battleborn series. May there be many more adventures awaiting to discover.

Great book.. 5*
Really enjoyed this book. The narration and character voices was first class. I enjoy LitRPG books but I find most of them are just bogged down with never ending player stats and was hoping to find a writer who concentrated more on the story line. Well I have found one now. 95% story 5% stats.
The story line is easy to follow and there is enough battles and fights to keep you hooked. My only criticism is that the progression of the main character from entering the world to becoming king was a little to quick. I would have liked a bit more in between.
Will definitely buy the next in the series...!!!
