Summary

Believe in nothing...and kill for something....

When a man's dismembered body is discovered at an abandoned quarry on the north Norfolk coast, DI Tom Janssen and his team must wade through his secretive life to figure out how he met his end.

The victim was a quiet man, well respected by those who knew him, and someone often willing to help local charities with his free time. Presenting an image of himself to the world of a simple, inoffensive individual, he never allowed anyone close enough to look behind the mask. As his associations become clearer, the team realise that there are others with secrets of their own...but are they willing to kill to keep them that way?

With a community reeling from such a gruesome and seemingly macabre act of violence the pressure is on to get a result. When the investigation crosses paths with another operated by the Major Crimes Unit, Tom begins to question who the real victim is and why, to some, the murder is such a low priority?

Blood Runs Cold is the fourteenth novel in the Hidden Norfolk crime series by the multi-million selling British crime writer, JM Dalgliesh, the author of the Dark Yorkshire books. Perfect for fans of JD Kirk, Damien Boyd, LJ Ross, Rachel McLean, and Simon McCleave.

Another great tale.

The familiar characters feel like friends as they are challenged in their roles as the plot thickens and then, finally resolves. Another great story that kept me wanting to know more and what is going to happen next. I was sorry when the ending finally came.

as good as always

Love it. Twist and turns, though it pains Norfolk as a bit dark. Still a good listen.

Was looking forward to this nr 14 . Have read the other 13 . I was not disappointed! The story is escalating until you can’ t stop and with the narrator it becomes a perfect marriage! Just sad it has already reached the end …

Fabulous like the previous books.

Gripping story from beginning to end, just like the previous books in the series. I didn’t want it to finish. Looking forward to the next one.

Another great book in the series

This is the first book in the series I have listened to, all the others I have read and I do appreciate the voice narration very much, It gives the additional depth to good criminal story and well rounded central characters. I am already waiting for the next instalment!

Perhaps some loose ends (won’t spoil) with Stacey. Really like the characters and the location.

A great read and audiobook

I love this series. the plots are good, the development of the characters is good. The narrator has a lovely deep voice and able to do different male and female voices well. Eagerly waiting for the next in the series.

Blood Runs Cold

Thank you for this series . I have loved it. Not too much description of violence. No unnecessary swearing. It has however been a serious mystery detective listen which is well written and I have enjoyed getting to know the characters.
