Living life to the max, without burning out
We all have days when dragging ourselves out of bed is particularly hard, especially when we feel overloaded and unappreciated. But if you feel like this most of the time and every day is a bad day for you, you may be burned out. Burnout doesn’t happen overnight. It is a gradual process. The signs and symptoms are not too obvious at first, but become worse as time goes on. The early, subtle symptoms are red flags that something is wrong and you need to change something. If you pay attention, address the problem, and do everything to reduce your stress, you can prevent a colossal breakdown. But if you ignore them, you’ll eventually burn out. Symptoms that signal something’s wrong and that you might be on the path to burnout are many, and include physical, emotional, and behavioral clues.

Open your mind, your heart, breathe & feel better.
Burnout, while acknowledging that there is no one size fits all, offers the reader deep understanding of the nature of stress, distinguishing the the stress from the stressor. This really helps you come to terms with what you have control over and what you don't.
I particularly like how right up front they talk about how nothing is perfect - not science - not people - not the world. So open your mind - and your heart, breathe and feel better!

Honest, authentic sharing AND practical tools
I wasn't sure about this course at first, really glad I did it. I have. 12 year old daughter who spends time on social media. The course highlighted some of the danger zones for young people using mobile devices. As a mother and educator, I will look out for the signs of: isolation and emotional attachment with online usage, often signs of anxiety, that can mistakenly taken for shyness or quiet personalities that can slip through the net. Great course and it has reminds me to monitor my ownself when using the Internet.

Full on interesting tidbits of information.
Burnout is a great mix of research, humor, and continuous affirmation of the human experience. It is an easy listen, but is full on interesting tidbits of information and practical strategies for addressing stress. I appreciate the authors' courage to name the multitude of stressors facing women, which are so culturally pervasive that they often remain invisible. I highly recommend this book.
