About this listen

Discover proven, concrete techniques for overcoming stress and anxiety to stop overthinking once and for all.

Are you tired of running the same scenarios in your head over and over, wondering what you could have done differently?

Do you have difficulty falling asleep because your brain is on a loop, rethinking all the events of your day?

Do you have trouble making decisions because you cannot stop overthinking everything that could go wrong?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you are not alone.

Fifty-seven percent of women and 43 percent of men identify as being overthinkers. One study showed that 73 percent of people between the ages of 25 and 35 regularly overthink.

And unfortunately, there are numerous physical and mental side effects of overthinking, including draining energy, reducing creativity, causing insomnia, wreaking havoc on the digestive system, and a host of other issues.

But overcoming the issues that cause overthinking can prove to be difficult, as our brains are wired to look out for dangers and not repeat things that have caused us harm. After all, the old saying “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me” had to come from somewhere.

But what happens when you get stuck in these thought patterns because you are trying to not be fooled again? And better yet, is it possible to break free of these patterns?

The good news is yes, it is entirely possible to change thought patterns, and this guide contains all of the information needed to do so.

In this audiobook, you will discover:

  • How to determine the underlying causes of your stress and anxiety that are leading to your overthinking.
  • The different ways that overthinking affects you mentally, physically, and emotionally.
  • Common triggers of anxiety and stress that lead to overthinking, and how to combat them.
  • The types of negative self-talk, the ways in which it affects your body and mind, and how to take back control and rid yourself of these negative thoughts.
  • Proven techniques to decrease procrastination and improve productivity.
  • How cognitive distortions cause overthinking, and effective ways to fix them.
  • Ways to change your attitude to have less anxiety and a better overall mindset.
  • Helpful mindfulness techniques to help quiet the world around you.

Rid yourself of the self-defeating thoughts that are holding you back. Stop lying awake for hours, ruminating on every little thing. Say goodbye to self-doubt and overthinking once and for all.

Incredibly Powerful!

As a father of young kids, a college student, an employee, and a business owner I feel like all I ever do is constantly overthink. This book was designed for people like me to learn how to destroy the stress and anxiety that I feel on a day-to-day basis. One part of many that I loved about this book, is how the author helps you understand your triggers. That alone will help me better understand what triggers my overthinking habit. Excellent resource!

The author discues everything from OCD, obseeive thinking, bipolar disorder, hypochondriacs and depresson. She even explains how drugs, caffeine and your diet effect your anxieties. She has some great tips and excercies to follow like some affirmations and keeping a journal writing when, how and what has triggered you. Highly recommend....

Wow 👏🏻 Welcome Positivity!

In these stressful times after the pandemic, the war & Inflation are all leading to soaring prices and job insecurity. In such rough seas, people would have stress and anxiety, think negatively, and be overthinking. Against this backdrop, author Harley Hunter has written this amazing book that tells us how to effectively use the nine steps discussed to avoid negativity and work toward positivity. I loved the book as it made me a better saner person, and I used the steps and ideas mentioned in this book to overcome whatever negativity and stress I had.

The narration of Kate Coventry is wonderful. Her tone, pacing, and the way she speaks make it seem like a very caring person is telling you, as a friend, what to do when things are not going the way you expect and how to improve them!

A few points that stood out for me in the book (among many):
- When we have negative thoughts, we should re-frame them and change them to positive ones.
- Having self-awareness is key to changing your mindset.
- Use of cognitive defusion.
- Place limits on your choices.
- And the KEY point ~ practice "Digital Detox"!

All in all a great book, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it!

Love it!

Middle-aged folks frequently overthink and experience anxiety since everyone wants to be where they want to be even when it isn't the proper time. I appreciate how this author was able to identify the issue and use this book to address it. Anyone in this state could benefit from the wealth of information it contains. The book examined the causes, catalysts, and coping mechanisms of anxiety. But the overthinking person is determined to put the author's techniques into practise, or else they won't be effective. It is educational, and I wholeheartedly endorse it.

How to handle overthinking and axieties.

We all do it, overthinking. Sometimes it is useful, but usually, it is a waste of time and just brings unnecessary stress and worry. Inaction is the cause of fear. This audiobook helps you to not focus on negative thinking or what you don’t have, but instead focus on what you do have with positive thoughts. Also, it suggests keeping a journal of gratitude and focusing on that. Practice gratitude and focus on having positive emotions. This is a great audiobook to help you confront anxieties and their triggers and then refocus on self-awareness and coping mechanisms. Strategies for preventing panic attacks and other anxiety disorders. I would recommend it to anyone who deals with these issues.

It helps you to make space in your mind!

You are overthinking is a phrase that my friends always say to me. I had a few aha moments in this audiobook. The practice of positive thinking and reframing your thoughts was particularly useful, as you are guided to challenge a negative thought and examine how it makes you feel. There are lots of useful mental exercises that you can practice to improve the way you talk to yourself.
