Bitesized genius

Update - I initailly rated this 4 stars, I have no idea what I was thinking!
Being a short book, I've listened to this about 10 times now and feel I learn something new every time.

I felt the book got straight to the point and it really resonated with me - you could listen to this in one sitting.
4 stars for performance because at times the voice sounded somewhat robotic though you get use to it

Concise and informative

This book offers actual steps

This book offers actual steps, worksheets, and processes to identify how an over-stressed lifestyle is effecting performance and happiness. It's focused on measurable results in dealing with a pretty nebulous concept, which I found most valuable. It's easy to translate this book to the workplace, and see real performance improvements.

Success mindset is VERY AWESOME

I will need all of the other books, because it’s worth the listening.

Happiness is a decision. Yes! This alone made my day, which even pushed me to relate to my wife, Rose. She said, you have always shared this expression with me.

Yes, when you feel bad, nothings good goes well around you. Oh how true this statement is? Gorgeous!

If you have to change something in your environment, you have to change something in yourself first.

Our minds can obviously change. So the question I now asked, why are you still in a miserable stance?

All happy people have something in common. « I decided to be happy. »

Our thoughts affect the way we feel.

Few probing questions:

1. What is your worth?

2. Who are you?

3. What do you hate about yourself?

On a personal note: My height was a concern for me during my teenage years up to my early young adulthood stage.

Today, it’s no longer an issue for me. Self-confidence is required in this context. I couldn’t handle it being alone.

Yes, I do believe in people until they proved the contrary to me. Money believes are acquired from our parents. The author did a profound research to bring out real life statements.

There are lessons (bad issues) we need to uproot from our mindset, which will help us uncover our sincere beliefs.

The wrong ought to be trashed. However, you are required to replace them, immediately.

In fact, any old or bad believe and how I understood from this book one, is like it is spelt out in Matthew the 12th chapter « When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it.Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. Matthew 12:43-45a | NIV.

Once there is this lack of proper care taking in quickly replacing your either old or bad believes with the right ones for you. You’re in for serious trouble. It’s a decision. What I can see from this book, no one can take that decision for you.

I highlighted those topics, I considered very important:

Affirmations: it should be in the presence. I’m worth loving, etc. The world is full of delightful things. I earn enough money. Just make sure, you buy all the collections of this book, let it serve as your affirmation audiotape to listen to daily.

It’s gorgeous. I did listen to this book with my wife, Rose. She said, Baby, don’t you think we need the physical or kindle version of it in order for it to serve as one of our reference books?

Gratitude: our own point of view. Everything is filtered from our point of view.

To focus: we also have that power of focusing. Change your imaginary camera to the right cause. You choose what you’ll focus your attention to. Where attention goes energy flows.

Every time you’re suffering from indecision, please take an audio listening to this book.

We want too much and lose sight of what have and failed to be grateful. Practicing gratitude will make you feel great. What I now do since the day I’ve listened to this book is this phrase: Life is GOOD.

Love yourself: what you want to do to others. Can it be acceptable to you? There are rooms for improvement, yet let’s at least endeavor to be grateful for what we already have, the book advised.

Self-esteem goes hand in hand with loving yourself. This will help you acquire self-confidence.

Accept responsibility: knowing that you’re responsible for everything in your personal life.

Forgive: big and small mistakes you ought to forgive. Everything we blame ourselves for is a recipe for punishing ourselves for that error. Be ready for self-forgiveness.

Meditation: change your beliefs. Use meditation. In practicing meditation, you will relax. Meditation is the queen of all self-developing techniques.

Thoughts and feelings along side are things. Be the ruler of your thoughts. Stop being everywhere, but remain in the present. Start small (5 minutes) will be a good start.

If you want to acquire anything worthy in life, you have to have the courage to move from your comfort zone. Feel it, accept it, and do it anyway.

Fear natural job is to protect you, but don’t let it take all the controls.

There are books with particular information that can be a recipe in healthy living. This one is one of them. Get your own copy NOW, please.

God bless you.

I liked the book for the most part.

I liked the book for the most part. Very good things to think about. I was new to self-help books when I purchased this one and pretty much always considered myself a cynic; so it took me a bit to get into the book. However, once I did, I got really into it. Meditation, positive thinking, forgiving, affirmations, etc. I will listen to this again and again. I am so grateful to have come across this book; it was the beginning of what will be a life-changing journey for me.

Helpful Guide!

Just a delight. Empirical evidence for making changes in the brain, changes in the expectations. Destroys the myth that change can be gotten by years of psychoanalysis. Save the therapy money and listen to the book. It will make a difference in your life if you follow the suggestions.

Worthy listen!

Everyone at risk of pessimism or depression, every parent should read this book. It makes perfect sense to me as a father of a teenage boy struggling with depression. The key take-way is: optimism is a choice, a learn able skill, and attitude. It does not change facts. But it does change how you feel about and deal with them.

Open your mind.

This audiobook touches the heart of those of us who experience constant negative internal chatter that saps our energy and fullness of life. I've read quite a bit about depression and happiness, and this is the first book that has gotten through strongly to me that pursuing happiness is a cause of unhappiness. I've used many of the exercises and suggestions to enhance the practice of mindfulness that I started based on another book; each book helps me out in a different and complementary way.

Love this book.

It proves to us that the basis of living a happy or miserable life lies in our understanding of what makes us tick - what our good and bad habits are around, and how we respond to events in our lives. It is one of the well-explained studies that prove that optimism can be learned and that we can manage our own happiness. This book can improve the lives of people who want to find a balance, peace of mind and happiness.
