Summary
Just how far is a mother willing to go?
When a mysterious note arrives for six months pregnant Dr Eliana Hughes, she begins to doubt every aspect of her life - from her mixed feelings about motherhood to her marriage to Martin, who has become distant in recent months.
As the person behind the note escalates their campaign to out Eli’s husband as a cheat, she finds herself unable to trust even her own instincts, and as pressure builds, she makes a mistake that jeopardises her entire future.
Elsewhere, someone is watching. Someone who desperately wants a baby to call their own and will go to any lengths to become a mother - and stay a mother....

Fabulous!
During the early chapters, I wondered about returning this book. It seemed a bit ‘chic lit’ for me. I’m so glad I persevered as it became something else entirely. A real thriller. I can say no more without revealing spoilers. Therefore, I’ll just say ‘buy it’!

Couldn't stop listening.
Easy to listen to, real characters and a brilliant but fairly sad story. I did shed a few tears at the end.
Highly recommend.

This book is so well narrated, absolutely brilliant. The story is very good, it's clever, and the narration absolutely brings it to life. This one is a no-brainer!

Drippy heroine!
Why the daft pregnant woman! Makes assumptions with absolutely no proof. Saw the conclusion coming from half way through the book.

Miss
First book by the author. Standard women’s chick lit beach reading. Poorly developed characters - Eliana is whiny and 2 dimensional and for a senior trained nurse ridiculously panicky and unable to help herself. Never get to hear from husband Martin’s perspective which would have massively helped the character development. Entirely guessable plot twist from half way through.
Majority of the book narrative two whiny women with chapters and chapters detailing the feelings around miscarriage and still birth in far too much detail. I’m by no means a sensitive soul but give it a miss if this is a sensitive subject for you - I skipped about 6 chapters entirely.

Creepy
Nurse Eliana Hughes and her husband Martin lead a charmed life in Derry, Northern Ireland, and are expecting a baby girl in two months. This will be the first grandchild for Angela, Eliana’s mother. Meanwhile, Louise is plotting to kidnap a baby and raise it as her own. Slowly, Eliana’s life unravels, Angela becomes more possessive and Louise carefully plans her crime. And then it gets really creepy.

Fast paced thriller
This is a good domestic thriller. I listened in a day! I did get really annoyed with the main character Elliana. She just made so many stupid decisions in the book! But all in all it was good.

Pretty Good
Nothing earth shattering. Real crazy mom obsessed with her child, scared to be alone, would do anything not to be. The story is well written and the narration is good.

already figured out the plot. iffy narrating
the narrator made it hard for me to listen to. She kept pausing at weird times like she didn't know what the next line was going to be. Then, I already knew the plot. Waste of time.

horrible narrator
This narrator was so bad I had zero sympathy for the protagonist. I understand the need to express excitement during certain periods of the story, but come on talk about over acting, zero to sixty to mania to numbness in a 10 second span. I wanted to kick her in her shins.

Very easy to figure out
I had this book figured out very early on. Maybe it's because I have listened to so many psychological thrillers. It was just ok as far as suspense goes.Once you have the book figured out it can be boring and I found myself fast forwarding through some of it that did not forward the story, like when Ellie was at work. This was just an average book for me.
