Summary

The heartwarming and feel-good story from the Sunday Times best-selling author

When Connie discovers that Jimmy Diamond, her husband of more than 20 years, is planning to leave her for his office junior, her world is turned upside down. Determined to salvage her pride, she resolves to get her own back. Along with Della, Jimmy's right-hand woman at his cleaning firm, Diamond Shine, and the cleaners who meet at the Sunflower Café, she'll make him wish he had never underestimated her.

Then Connie meets the charming Brandon Locke, a master chocolatier, whose kindness starts to melt her soul. Can the ladies of the Sunflower Cafe help Connie scrub away the hurt? And can Brandon make her trust again?

Loved it but it’s a new edition! I already had it!

Audible tells us when we already have a book in our library but if they bring out a new edition with a new cover design for example then they don’t! If a few years go by you may have forgotten, just like I did, and then you end up buying it again.
Audible, please rectify this as it’s very frustrating.

Easy listening

enjoyed listening to this book, shows what a lot of crap women put up with and what rubbish we swallow nice to see women get one over on a man for a change, some funny bits that make me laugh out loud

Definitely worth a listen!

I absolutely loved this Millie Johnson book. The humour is magnificent. She made me chuckle whilst listening. Also Colleen Prenderghast, the way she interprets the characters allows them to come alive and become believable. Millie has a great understanding of human nature, especially a woman’s perspective showing compassion mixed with humour and encouraging us to rise above adversity giving us all hope. You know it is a good book when you are sad it has finished. Enjoy.

Loved it!

The story grabbed me from the beginning, wonderful characters, and read so well by the narrator. I will certainly be listening to more by the author.

Not for me

A disappointing book. Average storyline.
Really struggled to finish and then gave up half way through....
Some good characters, however but the narration was so bad!
Oh dear - I thought it was going to be OK - so am sorry but "I'm out"...!

Another Brilliant Book from Millie Johnson

Millie Johnson never fails to serve up another brilliant book. Each one of her books is different & never fails to keep the listener hooked.
As per usual I always feel disappointed when it ends.
I would definitely recommend it.
