Summary
The brand-new novel from the Sunday Times best-selling author of The Magnificent Mrs Mayhew - a gorgeous listen full of warmth and heartfelt emotion.
Laurie and Pete should never have met. But fate has pushed them together for a reason.
Six months ago, on the same night, Laurie and Pete both lost their partners. Struggling to manage the grief, they join the same counselling group - and meet each other.
From their sadness, Pete and Laurie find happiness growing, and they sense a fresh new beginning.
Except, the more they talk, the more Laurie begins to spot the strange parallels in their stories. Then Pete discovers a truth that changes everything.
But, as surely as a compass points north, some people cannot be kept apart.
My One True North is a story of friendship and what love means, of secrets uncovered, tea-shops on corners and the northern lights.

Didn’t disappoint.
As always Millie Johnson came up trumps. An excellent book with twists and turns to bring mystery, sadness and joy. Millie Johnson never disappoints. Really enjoyed this.

Another great listen from Milly Johnson
I love reading and listening to most of Molly Johnson's books. I can't imagine listening to one of Milly Johnson's books without Colleen Prendagast as the narrator. They make an excellent team. This book is warm, emotional and at times heart breaking.

A lovely listen
I always hate when I come to the end of a Milly Johnson book. This one didn't disappoint and I loved how characters from previous books played a part in this one! Would recommend to get you through Lockdown. Loved it. xx I am actually choosing books that Colleen Prendergast reads too. She has the perfect voice.

Milly's books just keep getting better!
I love all of Milly's books and this is probably my favourite yet. The wonderful stories along with my favourite narrator, Colleen Prendergast go hand in hand. The story was simply wonderful and I loved the reference to a few of the characters from previous books.
Loved the new characters in Pete and Laurie. Such a roller coaster of emotions and of course, the usual 'Daily Trumpet' snippets to add a touch of humour too.
The only problem is that I didn't want it to end and am now eagerly waiting Milly's next instalment.

Loved the book...but
I loved listening to this book, the narration felt easy and natural. I felt the ending was abrupt, I would have loved another few chapters, it just seemed to stop at an unnatural point, I felt there was several loose ends that could have been tied together with just a little bit extra.

The Feel Good Factor
I love Milly Johnson books. This one is a good tale. A little predictable as they all are, but a really good story that lifts your spirit and makes you feel good.
This one had great messages about how to deal with grief, which I thought might be useful to someone. The story is about how two people who lose their partners come to terms with their death and move on. Great story and good narration.

Not disappointed
A truly lovely story with its twists and turns I didn’t want it to end. Usually only listen to my audible books in the car but this time had it on at every spare moment so I could find out how it all ended.
Thank you Milly Johnson!
